Amanda is one of the sweetest kindred spirits I have ever come across in my travels around this world. She is strong willed and independent, yet compasionate and giving of herself. That combination is difficult to achieve and even harder to find in people these days, but Amanda has it.

I really do cherish the memories of when I have been around this woman. Thinking of them motivates me to buy a plane ticket to San Francisco to make a long overdue visit to the Bay Area. You really cannot ask for a better friend than Amanda.

A chill vixen with the healing touch. Amanda has a huge heart which could contain the whole world and when she gets back from the future (2012) I am certain it will. There are 2 ways people react to difficulties in their lives, they either become bitter over their heartbreak or flourish in transcendence, this beautiful soul falls into the latter group and all those that cross her path are the better for it. And best of all, she always, always answers her coconut wireless. Love you girl.

Machu Picchu Info, Anyone?

Hey world travelers!

I'm going to Peru on June 25 and was planning on coming home on July 10, but now I'm planning on staying a few extra days (2-3 max) to visit Machu Picchu. Does anyone have helpful information on how long it should take, and what different ways of getting to the top there are? I'm thinking going on train. I'm trying to keep the trip as inexpensive and as short as possible since I'll be away for a while.

music urgency . . .

hello computer techies, music lovers, friends and family . . .

my computer seems to be a very moody one, and i need some help with it. i have a bunch of amazing music on my computer. i love to make mixed cd's to listen to at work and to use for school projects/presentations and to give to friends (special mixes that have special meaning for me), and such. up until recently, i've had no problem doing this, but lately my computer is not letting me make copies of most of the music i have (music i've burned before). not even music that friends have made and given to me. i don't know what has changed all of a sudden that now keeps me from making special mixed cd's to enjoy in places other than where my computer/external harddrive are hooked up.

does anyone know what the problem might be or how to fix it? i would be ever so grateful for some assistance. if it meant doing actual work on my computer, i could compensate (trade or payment as long as it's not a lot of $).
