about me
i am on some kind of unique path, one which i haven't quite figured out yet. i try and just keep my mind in the moment and not worry what that greater path implies and just hope that it will lead me where i need to go, and i know that it will because it always does!
i love to support local, organic farming wherever i go, with my money, and more recently, i have been gaining an interest in becoming a part of food production and growing the shit! it makes sense that everyone should know how to provide healthy food for themselves without relying on who-knows-how-many other people to get it to your fridge. i try and avoid shipping things half-way around the world, although i do love coconuts! i was able to enjoy those guilt-free recently when i went to thailand and enjoyed a 4-month vacation/experience. it was pretty phenomenal! and lots of other amazing fruits that just aren't the same here, such as mangoes and pineapples and pomelos and lychee. i love how they only buy produce direct from the farmer in thailand. they don't have 'grocery stores' except for all the packaged shit. i want to be a part of the new wave of lovers, thinkers and doers who will hopefully be able to keep part of this population alive and able to enjoy what's left of this amazing planet. i also love to do yoga and keep my body balanced. i love hiking through hills and mountains and getting out in the 'untouched' spots like big sur and the cascades. i love biking for transportation and leisure. i love not having a car. i love good people who love to laugh and share new ways of thinking about and experiencing life. that's the shit that keeps me going strong. i'm a truth-seeking fun-loving drumming wanderer trying to figure out what the fuck to focus my attention on

I have been chillin' in Seattle for a couple weeks now and it has been super grounding and nice for me to chill in one place after all those amazing festivals. I went to some awesome hot springs on the Olympic Peninsula and soaked with some friends, and in general have reconnected with a lot of my core family in Seattle, and it's been great!

I just went to this awesome drum circle in the redwoods in Marin County and afterwards me and some new friends climbed a hill and sat soaking up the full moon energy! It is a beautiful night, perfect for another update to reach all you beautiful people all over the world! I think the last I left you I was headed to High Sierra. The drive was beautiful and it took me through unexpected mountains and along beautiful streams and rivers, one of which I stopped and swam in and ate som... read more
I just wanted to say that last weekend's Harmony Festival was one of the best festivals I've ever been to! It felt so good to come back from Thailand and jump right into serving up raw food and dancing to some awesome performances in Santa Rosa!! That's the way life should always be (or at least I wish it could be!!) I saw some good friends who I didn't realize were gonna be there! Victor was there, Ashley Apple showed up, Hans was there, Stephanie graced us with her presence, and some friend...

So the course finished up, and everyone in it felt rewarded and pumped to take the knowledge and manifest situations for practice. We learned about so many different aspects of sustainable living, all of which come under the vast umbrella of permaculture. We learned about the basics: water, soil, landform, altering landform to bring more water into the land (earthworks), mushrooms and how they are the ties between every living ecosystem, trees, and many other fields, all of whic... read more
I have been really enjoying the mix between living a Thai lifestyle but being around Farang's who are integrated into the country. It's interesting that not many Thais are taking advantage of these awesome yoga retreat centers and alternative ways of farming (at least not yet) that I'm experiencing on this trip. It seems most are just into making as much money as possible with the least amount of work. They often prefer to burn their fields in between crops (very bad for the soil) rather than...
