well i finally done did it been meaning to make my own etsy store for ages and here it is http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5793199 now i just gotta fill it up w/ product i'm sure there's a good half a dozen projects laying around here i could take/find pics of and upload such as the raglan shirt i made for ani difranco's baby when i thought i was gonna get to meet her last week (the radio show beever works for interviewed her when she was in town playing at the fillmore, but she ended up phoning it in, so sad for me) oh fuck me. i just managed to accidentally delete the mei tai i'd listed now i have to start all over. it's bedtime!

too big for boobie?

there's a lot going on for the little man this week yesterday we finally got a car share car and went to ikea to buy eamon his own table, which he helped me put together ;) so he doesn't have to draw or play trains or do puzzles on the floor anymore (we also got a new storage system for his toys http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S19848442 ) we'd also been talking about setting up his own mattress next to ours. we never used a crib, but held onto the mattress we were given. and when i did laundry today it happened to include the sheets, so i thought why not set it up now? i should note that beever pointed out all the kid beds to eamon at ikea, and eamon climbed into each to try it out, and lay down and said "night night eamon" so he's sleeping in his own bed right now! our bed is gonna seem huge tonight, and we get to fall asleep cuddling... but strangest of all is eamon's behavior towards boobie all afternoon. this morning was normal, boobie first thing in bed. asked for it twice later on, i said no the 1st time then he had a bit later on. and went down for his nap on the boob in my arms on the couch ( he doesn't like to lay down in bed for boobie at nap time anymore) but when he woke up, he had 2 suckles, then said "boobie couch" so we went to the couch where he had 2 suckles on each boob, then said "no boobie" and got down to play and have snack. i had some coffee right before he woke up so i thought maybe it tasted funny, so i drank a bunch of water. the next time he asked i was busy. and the next time he had 2 sips again and jumped out of my lap. he wasn't even on long enough to have gotten anything. then while i was making dinner he kept demanding it, i put him off til after we'd eaten and cleaned up. but same thing, suck suck. "no" and at bedtime, he just wanted story after story. often we don't even make it thru 1 before he demands boobie, and passes out. tonight 2 sips and then back to story. so i tucked him into his new bed, lay next to him in the big bed and read. 4 stories, that was my limit. then he said he wanted boobie, but all he did was hold my boobie, and nuzzle it. at one point i suggested putting it away if he wasn't going to nurse, but he said no "eat it. hands." so he drifted off in my lap holding the boobie, then i slid him into his bed, under the covers. he half woke, and called for boobie, so i lay down and offered it, but he just snuggled up to it, and fell back asleep... so we'll see what he does in the morning as tired as i am of nursing sometimes, it made me wanna cry, putting him down in a big boy bed w/o boobie

costume crisis

i talked a lot of shit this year about making us matching costumes (especially after we wore pajamas last year), or not matching but wihin a theme, i wanted eamon to be max, and we'd be wild things... but as it got closer i realized there was no way i was gonna pull off making us big heads so then i was gonna make eamon a monkey costume, and monkey eaar hood for beever cuz he already has a monkey lookin costume, and i was gonna be a doll. i bought fabric on saturday, and did nothing so eamon was a knight, a costume we bought randomly last nov., daddy didn't want to wear anything, the sqare dancing dress i meant to wear was too big (i forgot that's why i've never worn it, but if i'd tried it on this weekend i could've fixed it) which sucked cuz as i'd gathered my turquoise and teal accesories, and wig i was all psyched to be a water elemental. but then i had a costume crisis, cuz the other dress that fits totally clashed, and i don't know where my maroon wig is. so i ended up wearing this dress i hate that i bought when i was pregggo so i'd have something flashy to wear, and i don't know what i was, a snake priestess?, my friend suggested an eel... plus i was gonna go out drinking w/ some friends after eamon partied w/ his buddy lola, but since it took us so long to get out of the house, and grab dinner, and they were rockin out all night!!, i just didn't feel like walking all that way, plus i was stoned. so i went home and cleaned, and worked on my alter, and meditated, and went to bed... i'm so readyto make next years costumes this week

butoh guerilla

ok the past two weekends have been distracted by relatives and ill-preparedness on my part but this weekend gosh darnit i'm gonna dance me some butoh in a public place, and cry and drool for Doranne we always go to the berkeley farmers market on sat. and there's a nice park there, so i figure after we shop i'll pop into the public bathroom to get costumed and makeuped then find a spot under a tree to meditate for 5 min, clear the chatter, remember doranne then i will dance i'm guessing around 2:30 center and mlk. i don't know what that park is called i would love the support of anyone who can make it

i found out earlier today that the woman who taught me butoh dance in college, and changed my life, is dead. she died of lung cancer on thur. it's so strange, it's like i'm sad from a distance. the tears come to my eyes, and fade away again we hadn't really kept in touch, she was kind of a ludite, and rarely used her email. i would run into her every now and then when i was in oly visiting family and friends sometimes my mom would see her around town and tell her what i was up to i always thought i would get to perform for her, or w/ her again get the chance to show her the dancer i've become introduce my son to her... i'm going to dance for her soon guerilla butoh, just show up somewhere public and dance, to honor her memory and everthing she taught me i'll let you all know when and where if you'd like to join and support me here's some more i said about her http://tribes.tribe.net/8cf5630b-8d7d-4576-899d-6c1d96ab8dfd/thread/be43535d-c454-4209-aa12-2388e0aa9071#c14eefa6-21f9-4ff2-80c9-75da4db78623

since baby yup finally got around to getting a sitter (our best friend clide) and going out to a movie on our own oh, not that eamon's never been babysat, uh 4 times prior to this one i think (moslty by clide) (and only so i could get things done, like pilates or sewing) we've just figured there was no reason to leave him at home if we were going out to eat or to see live music... and there's always babybrigade or family night at the parkway theater if we don't feel like waiting for it to come to netflix... i dunno, but when we saw that "Knocked UP" was coming out we just couldn't wait. we are in love w/ judd apatow, and seth rogen, hi-larious! (40 yr old virgin, freaks and geeks...) and well, it was just such an appropriate date movie for acccidental parents... and thankfully it didn't dissapoint neither did the gelato post movie, despite the chilly windy night the cutest thing was coming home at 10 to find both eamon and clide passd out...

i just posted this on our babyblog, but i felt like sharing this here too cuz i'm sure i'm not alone on this one eamon is a vicious little monster and i have the wounds to prove it he won't let me cut his nails anymore ok, so he never really did, but i used to get away w/ trimming them while he slept these days he won't even let me do that, pulling his hands and feet away when i hold them, and waking up if i persist! it's getting really bad, i'm so scabby... today we tried to gang up on him, daddy held him down, while i wielded the nail scissors, and i managed to get 2 nails somewhat shorter before his fit reached such screeching proportions that we were forced to give up i've also tried biting them off, as suggested by the pediatrician, buut he just thinks it's a funny game, and yanks his hand away, then keeps wanting to stick his fingers back in my mouth sigh

well we made it one whole year in this adventure beever took the week off work to recover from his sinus infection, that he had to work thru last week, and to get the remaining packing and moving done so we got to spend eamon's birthday all together we went out for burritos, and then played at the park for 2 hours he is the most amazing art project we ever made together...

i fucking hate house hunting one place has a nice yard and good location but is a tiny 1 br w/ yucky carpet and painted shut windows one is a spacious sunny 2br for too much money w/ no yard, and old shoddy cabinets and such, and a landlord who worries the kid'll make too much noise for the downstairs neighbors one is a ho-hum 2br, no yard crappy neighborhood of all apt. complexes and they're all blurring together and leaving us feeling hopeless we've been doing this for weeks already aftre running around all day we were crazed enough to consider throwing out all our shit and driving away anyone in portland got a radio job for my man? tomorrow we get to do it all over :(

really just do all my blogging on the baby blog and haven't been using tribe much lately so back in berkely and working part time for my friend in her cute store belly gets bigger all the time keep not having time or energy to get all the stuff done what needs gettin done, need to start exercising now that i'm not nauseous all the time and i have some amount of energy... weent to pilates once been sick with a cold all week, which sucks extra bad when i'm already slowed down...

so yah moved away from the bustleof the bay a few weeks ago... up to ukiah and into a beautiful house with alexandra, her 2 yr old daughter elia, and her boyfriend mario still unpacking, and organizing been batiking a lot doing shirts with birimbaos (spelling?) and caoeiristas to sell at the batizado in berkeley at the end of the month. been exploring the town on foot and by bike, but i gotta get up into the hills soon, or else why am i here... started belly dancing finding it really gratifying i just wasn't getting anything out of butoh workshops anymore it's nice to be challenged and picking it up quickly still having pain in my knees tho some days are worse than others been meaning to go to yoga, but it's at noon, and i have an easier time getting out the house for evening classes... went to capoeira last week, and felt good, but i gotta remember to tape my wrists i don't know what it is with my joints elbows and ankkles too... think i just need to work through it strengthen myself again i was really starting to get out of shape or out of the shape i prefer anyway...
