about me
I seek and sometimes I find, but even if I didn't, I still like the seeking. Sometimes I hide and then seek, but usually I don't hide, but rather reveal when possible for anyone else who may be seeking. And sometimes I write and I think, or sometimes first think then write, and sometimes just think. some times I speak without thinking but more often i will think without speaking. and i may squeak without inking, but that's another story.

emilio's world

We all know the saying: "No use crying over spilled milk." (spilt milk if you're from the UK).

But, what exactly is the point? OK, if I actually spilled some milk, what's done is done and crying doesn't help. Makes sense.

What about if I am in a terrible accident and my legs are amputated? Would I still just figure that what’s done is done and there's no use crying? Ever imagine saying to someone who just lost their legs- "Hey, cheer up. Spilled milk!"

And, if there’s no use c... read more

Despite the fact that "I Heard it through the Grapevine", is instantly disqualified as a top-five song about death because of it's association with the movie, The Big Chill, I still like the movie. I recently watched it and liked a few things about it.

First of all, there was this wonderful quote by the young girlfriend of the dead Alex (played by Meg Tilly), in which she says, " I've never spent much time with happy people. How do they act?" I think there was a message that, despite ... read more

Ever seen the movie?
Either you love it or you hate it. Which are you?

There are some interesting messages to be found in this quirky movie. First of all, there's Joe. He is miserable because he is overcome with fear. So, he always feels like shit. Then, he finds out that he is about to die and he suddenly doesn't feel like shit. He feels great. As Tyler Durden would say:"Only by losing everything can we ever truly have anything." And it highlights the absurdity of fear of any kin... read more

Something spectacular has just come to an end. As wonderful as some things are, I guess they all must end, and so it is with this. So, although there is a degree of melancholy and regret, I understand that this is the way that it has to be.
I am speaking of my great love affair. Possibly the greatest love affair of my entire life-certainly of my life so far. It was strange and unconventional. I learned a lot about myself and a lot about love. But, to tell you the truth I don’t know i... read more

Have you ever noticed how things are so much more beautiful on the playa? Particularly women. All women. Something about the settting brings out the beauty like putting a rose in the desert.
