Transorganic Calculations of Faith
Kindling
Wed, April 22, 2009 - 8:10 PMThere is a certain clarity in the written word, you know? When I put something down on paper, it becomes so much more...REAL! Things are progressing well these days. I feel relatively in touch with happiness. Life is just a day's work. Practice makes perpetual. "The methods work if you do..."
I am a wandering fool-poet-philosopher-bard-healer-performance artist undergoing some kind of spiritual experience with Jesus Christ at the helm. Meanings and values take you further than the facts alone. We are given, almost as the gifts of sincere Love and faith, access to the invisible realm of divine values that nourish the soul: joy, patience, forgiveness, compassion, harmony, wisdom, peace, etc......
I suppose I'm continuing the great chain of writers who are trapped in their libraries. I have a degree in creative writing & modern lit and I am working quality assurance for an AT&T call center. Reach out and touch someone. Life could be far worse, yet somehow it seems to be getting better. Go figure. This whole experience is full of blessings and surprises. The change always starts from within, right?
Go pick up a book. Get inspired! Words can change your world.

i bet you would like gerald manley hopkins - a priest/poet who was not allowed to write poetry through most of life until a new abby told him that poetry was an expression of god and then he poured out these amazing poems

The Bonfire of the Vanities
I picked up quite a few regular books at the library booksale.
I had my kindle with me met a self-proclaimed "traditionalist" librarian at the book sale who said she'd neber get a Kindle. I'm neither a technologist nor a traditionalist, myself. I LOVE MY KINDLE AND ALL THE DOCUMENTS I READ ON IT. But I still have hundreds of books. I wnjoy the feel of a nicely bound hard-cover. or a 1st edition. Books should not be forsaken. No one's suggesting that. But CD did replace casettes and perhaps kindles will be the new wave portale paperback reader. As far as electronic book readers go, this is really the first one I have ever enjoyed using. It's very versatile. I have my own novel on the Kindle now. :S Keep on reading (and writing), LITERATI. <3 PEACE |
