Stats on Ozzy
Wed, July 27, 2011 - 5:07 AMGave him a 5 inch stuffed animal toy and he is loving it. trying to attack it and do damage! # days with his toy he is now able to move it around the cage without getting worn out.
I am glad that it'll be easy to get a Tetanus shot in case he decides we should be dinner! But he is fed 3 times a day fresh chicken, rabbit and ground beef. But Today he is getting a piece of ox heart to see if he can feed himself in nature. In a few day he will get his first pinkie and then on to a small mouse.
No matter cute he is and how much he makes me laugh, he was born out in nature and that is where he belongs. If he makes it great! If not at least he live longer than a couple of his siblings.
I am more afraid of our basset eating him... trying to teach her the difference, but hey how does one stop a natural instinct from kicking in?
Out of respect, I know it is one of their safety mechanism.

He's only cute because you're to big for him to kill you.
The fact is, he's still young enough to be playing at killing. Pretty soon all his wild insticts will kick in and he will seem like he is driven to hunt.
Mustelids are some of natures most effective hunters by instinct, He'll be alright as long as he avoids the cats and dogs. |
