i just got back from portugal
thought you might like to see some pics

it was a little strange
since my fam's from Goa
which was colonized (and brutalized)
by the Portugese. they were in Goa 300 years
and only left in 1967
(india got it's independence from the british in 1947, as you know)
the craziest thing was seeing the tomb of Vasco de Gama,
who was the one who showed up in Goa
and destroyed the temples, and made the local language illegal for 300 years
