<div>lives a girl within a woman who prefers trees and birds to cars and sidewalks....
while the visits to play are often fun
there's a peace in progress

a space not so far away
where there is a bit more rest

i feel the call to move higher up the mountain
but it is not my decision
to be made in collectives
trusted to others
and shared

scary!

<div>Flying away again this morning to meet with my clients, nonprofitcommons.org and oneworld.net, nonprofit communities for global progress, building collaborative 3D web spaces. I love my job and the travel is fun, but this time I forgot to book until last minute....time to find a place to sleep tonight!

If you are in San Francisco/Bay Area and want to connect before Saturday morning, email me at evoamo@gmail.com with your contact info! Open to suggestions on how to best celebrate this fall in your lovely city.

What a fun day! It doesn't feel like a time to celebrate, and yet I am more proud of my country than ever before. I feel patriotic and happy to be an American for the first time in....decades?

Now to get happy about being a Californian....maybe I'm living in the wrong place! When Tribe.net is showing Yes on 8 ads the day before an election there's definitely something screwy at the station.</div>

Everything I'm seeing and feeling around us points to the major shifts we're undergoing together. Our world is in great flux and so are we as individuals, learning new communication and life tools very quickly as the pace of life seems to accelerate.

Many of us are having connected dreams come through in waking and in sleep. Do not be afraid to trust the strange signs.

Keep weaving the story together, the mystics among us are on the right track. Keep following those instincts.</div>

my apologies to those who deserve that attention and have not received it from me. my eyes transmit too much and my head is still clearing from the plague inside....those damn aliens from the planet phlegm came back but we've given them marching orders. no more wars in my head, this brain is not interested in war.

apparently i don't sleep much, even with robust amounts of alcohol and nyquil.

when the aliens finally evacuate i'll let you know, then we can meet each other again and look each other in the eyes.
i should try and sleep first.</div>

    </a>
<div>Last night's quality research sidewalk time handling VIPs at Key Club taught me how to swagger down the red carpet like a rock star:

1) Wear an accessory in your hair ALWAYS, feathers-wood-stone-metal always work
2) Women in skimpy clothes only please, and oil everything but your face
3) Men, don't smile too much but smile when the women talk to you as if you'd fuck them right then and there
4) Go smoke a fag after the photo shoot but before your soundcheck, and after soundcheck but before you get sauced
5) Hand the VIP table a list of 200 free people to invite and ask for 30 more all access bracelets for your "family"
6) Men and women, your makeup must be perfect or nonexistent. Be absolutely clean, no asscrack showing please
7) Always keep sunglasses nearby or give them to the hot girlfriend to hold for you
8) Men and women both: have a hot girlfriend ready to hold stuff for you, and don't forget about putting her on the list
9) When in doubt, black. Let hot girlfriend wear the colorful stuff and smile for the cameras
10) Ask the DJ girls who has your choice of recreational materials (except Porter, she doesn't touch the shit)
11) Never slouch or forget that the fuckin' paparazzi are watching when you go

Inspired by 8mm and Nico Vega: http://myspace.com/nicovega and http://www.myspace.com/8mm

I say fuck it all! Watch the Nico Vega videos, Aja is my idea of a rockstar and she runs around in leotards and dances like a maniac!
My photos, as always, are at http://flickr.com/photos/amoration

From the Nico Vega myspace page....Influences:
Any sort of passion, fire, or interaction between two people, or many people. Any person who has the will to lead people and sacrifice their own needs for the well being of others. Any warrior with a purpose, or a mission, and any artist who is not scared to be great. Anybody that decides to forgive themselves for the mistakes that they have made, and change for the better. We have a lot of musical influences, probably similar to the ones that you like. Oh...and, anybody who is a Lion at heart (support the pack, and be strong without judgement).</div>

    </a>
<div>AMO Food Art Exhibition January 9th 2009 Formal art you can eat!

*Meeting with fine artists working in culinary/mixed media edible creations for curated show, portfolio photos welcome
*Dedicated spaces for artisan-quality food and drink vendors please contact evoamo@gmail.com
*Viewing safe, quality venues in Los Angeles for 300-500 people with kitchen on site, will scout your recommendations
*Volunteers welcome for logistics &amp; security, design, food liaisons, outreach/ticketing, entertainment

For the first time in three years my nonprofit organization Amoration will be hosting a large public exhibition of edible art, a topic we can all enjoy together! Artists working with food will be invited to present original edible works to be consumed by hundreds of adoring Los Angeles art fans in a feeding frenzy of fantastic flavors from around the world.

Your involvement is welcome. Volunteer list above worth checking out for ideas and ways to contribute to the fun. Our last event was attended by ~200 adoring chocolatiers while our altars were dripping with goodness for hours. Bodypainted models, late night music and dancing, decadence and delight for your Friday the 9th of January....this is what we love to do.

During the month of December we will be doing a food drive and will be fundraising extensively for food-related local and international causes that we've supported over the years, like the World Food Programme currently getting aid to Darfur's refugees and Food on Foot here in Los Angeles. We would like to work with other organizations around the world doing great work to bring food, permaculture, gardening and new opportunities around through healthy food products....contact me directly with your favorite orgs to support in this food awareness art.

Why wait until January to celebrate? One of the tribe recommended that we give ourselves a great excuse to get dressed up and take ourselves out just after the new year, when the formal clothes want to play again but there's no good reason to see each other. 1.9.09. Now we have that excuse....start thinking about your favorite edible costumes, the cotton candy girls and the cupcakes among you waiting to leap out from the culinary closet. I only hope there are enough hungry people out there to enjoy our collective deliciousness.

AMO Friends: We're doing the next few dinner parties offsite as our home undergoes some renovations; for those of you who planned to make one of our dinner parties we'll do it at the location of your choice and cook together if you want to practice a few ideas prior to January. Our kitchen is fine for culinary experimentation but we're down to daytime meetings only between now and September. You know how to find me and we're all very busy with life, the universe and everything, so ping me as you think of it and we'll go from there. No worries my loves, the fun is just beginning.

The heart opening

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/evonne/blog/64cc163b-787a-4632-bdac-76cd5b80b75b"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/730/f27/730f2728-7577-482b-83e1-dba00be2c5b3.thumb" width="65" height="43" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>Less than an hour into the workday a dozen occasions have popped up where openness of heart has been essential.
Openness of eyes, ears, mouth are all essential (for me it's in that order, but we all sense and share differently). My hope for all of you is that your openness is led with an openness of heart that allows for flexibility of the mind and joy in every cell.

Opening the heart can be easy, with practice.....some days are still easier than others. It takes PRACTICE to love more fully and beautifully!

In my daily practices love is the central focal point, led by openness. I cannot reach a state of love for all without the open aperture and care to look inside myself, deal with the drama and look beyond the dashboard to the horizon again.

My practices are simple....a mudra of "I love you" in sign language, held as I walk to remind myself to beam love to others I encounter daily on the streets. Openness with friends happens here and in the social media, dinner conversations and dance floors of our lives, all wonderful places to practice love in action. Meditations, chanting, contemplation and prayer, art and expression are all ways that I bring in to enhance or help myself through the stuck times, when I know that openness is harder to reach.

It's in those stuck times that my personal desire for "attention, affection" can eclipse the deeper desire to love others through the little things of our lives. Every emotion in the rainbow comes then, some that make me feel ashamed to be human. Thankfully those emotions do not trap me for long anymore, but I regret every time my feelings have eclipsed an important conversation or bonding moment because I was too shortsided to see the deeper love flowing. I do not enjoy living with regret, so I practice using tools like Don Miguel Ruiz' Four Agreements and worldwide meditations on compassion to remind myself why we are so lucky to share this particular life and time together.

I do believe in calming the ocean so that those natural flows are easier to recognize. I also believe in the truth of our shared energy, the love we manifest every day in big and little ways. I know that these moments are just drops in the rainstorm, but I hold them dear with all of you because I see the beauty in you, the energy you can beam out to others the same way I strive to in the little moments of the day.

Since human wisdom is somewhat arrogant and warped, I'm leaving you with the kitties of LOLCATBIBLE. Enjoy.

<div>Visiting my family feels like too much to tell here. It's been a tough few days in many ways, we're taking my grandma back to the hospital now. My heart is so full and not in the easy gushing way.

Instead of dwelling on the tough stuff I'm sending you some of my favorite lyrics!

http://cdbaby.com/cd/michaelandrews

Mike Andrews' Just a Thought:

hello just a thought, you're just a thought

are you here to confuse me, or amuse me?

if you're here to amuse me

then maybe i will write you down, write you down

hello, just a thought, just a crazy thought

you know i can erase you, completely replace you

but i'd rather embrace you

and feel you deep inside my heart, in my heart

you know fire in the heart

where the truth shows

where the mind knows

where the love grows

that is where, that is where

i complete you

that's the only place

i can meet you

to say hello! just a thought....

    </a>
<div>Heart throbbing alive, pulse at peace alive, deep breaths alive, long bikerides alive, hot restless nights alive, long amazing journeys alive, deep luscious love alive, electric minds alive, creatively leaping alive

So much flowing lately, so much to come.

The cherries tasted so delicious this morning, the grilled bread with nut butter so smooth and everything has been delightful today.
I cannot wait and explore, hope and dream, manifest and make more true, more real, more bonded, more intimate with every weaving.

Intention

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/evonne/blog/73a199a2-3b2a-4b70-9278-3bcd5219961e"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/cba/c3a/cbac3a4c-ec8f-4c97-9676-3e0a6404c634.thumb" width="65" height="65" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>Throughout my life I have been building on a vision for a deeply rooted and integrated community center, a living space for dozens where thousands can be nourished and given space to find their loving spirit. In 2004 we formed Amoration as a nonprofit to begin the exploratory process of community-building and love research along with organizing events around sustainability, crisis aid and preparation, arts as a tool for problem solving and the essentials of digital communication for worldwide connectivity and resource sharing.

We have seen many beautiful possibilities for our futures; sharing them with you is half the fun!

Reading deeper into the Findhorn intentional community in Scotland I see a prototype for our future AMO community. We have identified that we want to protect, care for and live on over 100 acres with organic gardens, bamboo and other agriculture on the land along with a community center for retreats and workshops and extensive art studios for visiting scholars and professionals on sabbatical. We plan to build a small research facility on site along with a large Bed and Breakfast style home and additional living residences for long term and short term residents of AMO.

When I was 7 years old I drew the first building, my future home, a very large window to the sea and sky and otherwise earthen building with round/octagonal spaces and natural features throughout; waterfalls and rock shelving along with all elements integrated (my first attempts at feng shui). At age 9 I first drew the B&amp;B facility, which looks not unlike my current Sugar home but with no square rooms and more of a Madonna Inn customized feel....a gorgeous restaurant on site will also serve a few of my specials, soups and surprises along with a handful of resident chefs including my father, caterer to the carnivores among you. He'll have to cook outside; being in a tropical environment we want to keep our kitchen clean and organic vegetarian with separate facilities for animal products. I suspect that most of our food will be grown on site, at least 50% if soil is conducive with enough food production sold/bartered to sustain the community long term. We want to take the concepts of Growing Architecture into our living space and explore how to live more symbiotically with our natural surroundings.

The AMO open space facility is designed for multipurpose gatherings in the hundreds; weddings, workshops and conferences, graduations and other celebrations of all kinds. It is based on the human chakra map and explores the use of each space as tuned for various functions, using color, light and sound to assist in creating conducive environments for gatherings. Many of our AMO partners' artwork explores sacred themes of geometries and tuning and we will create exhibition spaces for ongoing study and public dialogue on these themes.

In creating this space we set forth one key intention: to grow in love and share that energy.

Our process is inclusive, implementing open space consensus decisions throughout development.
It has started with a wiki and a bulletin board for reimagining how we create space. Our goal is to be rooted on the land within the next two years, and we have begun an active scouting process to determine what kinds of geographic areas would be most conducive to the long term health and sustainability of this community. We can go anywhere and there are few limitations:

* Access to clean water (preferably untainted underground)
* Caves and other natural features
* Conducive environment to growing cacao, pineapple, bamboo, nuts, banana, other organic vegetables
* Not at sea level; higher elevations preferred

AMO may be a root of love; it is also the root of self, the cause of creativity and expression. Amo, amor, amorous, animus, amaranimus. ;-) The Latin roots are so very close in the most primal of sounds. In Sanskrit love is transliterated as "anurag", in Ethiopia pronounced ~afaqara~. Hebrew has *ahab*, later "agape" in Greek. Amoura is ~my love~ in Arabic, I love you is "Ana Ba-heb-bak"; Al-habb becomes Ai in transliterated Chinese root pictographs. "ki-ag2" is the Sumerian root, pronounced "key ang" or to place-bond.

Ami, ani, ana, ama, amo: these roots show up in more than half of the worlds languages when speaking about love.

Of course, "love" means ~money~ in Romani, so it all breaks down at some point....we're just learning how to communicate clearly together. Very few languages have refined an understanding of the energy we pass in love, but a few have started: the Hawaiian language uses *Aloha* for love, as a greeting and as a way to end time together. The community we seek to create will give plenty of room for this exploration as part of a global dialogue taking place around the world.

In many languages AMO takes on a deeply spiritual form, transcending the self and connecting us to the greater whole. AMO, the love we share in every conversation, is a magnifiable form of energy that we can learn to grow with the same way that a seed learns to grow with the sunlight, soil and nutrients around it. AMO, the magnetic love we give each other every day, may very well be our own sunlight and radiance in visible and sensible form. AMO, the space we create together for that love.....we still need words and expressions to fill in these blanks. At its root this love is a bond created through the exchange of energy, the same bonding action that happens on a cellular level as well as in observable solar systems. Magnetic bonds have reason for forming and breaking, and in that reason we find the love force, the energy both put in and created through this process. This AMO is what we share, this is the one fire that alchemizes the self into gold.

Or as I learned from Kung Fu Panda this weekend.....there is no secret ingredient! You've already got it.

We've already got it, this vision for our future. Now we ask you to join us in some real ways, both as present and future intentions.

* We will be taking 5 Tekfarm journeys this year with the AMO team, assisting grassroots villages with alt-energy production and digital education tools on site. This serves as scouting expeditions for future communities while we connect with amazing villages producing new solutions in their regions. Peru, Uganda, Swaziland, Thailand, Burma and three locations on this continent have asked us to join them for short term trips (up to 3 weeks) in each region. Community partners will be welcome to join us remotely or on site as AMO adventurers.

* The Tekfarm concept will be documented extensively for DIY production use in communities worldwide; we aim to build a template for future communities to grow on that allows for micro-level energy production and biofuel farming with efficiency and consensus throughout. We will need documentary partners throughout this journey at all levels; print and HDVideo professionals especially welcome. Journeys will begin late summer 2008 and continue through summer 2009.

* Community partners who would like to help us envision the future of the AMO space in physical form are welcome to join me for dinner in July at my home, Sugar. Save the date: July 8th

* Once we have a working proof of concept (due late 2009) I am confident that we have partners, funders and other supporters who want to be a part of this process long term; we will also have a clearer sense of where to locate and procure property to begin building. You are welcome to join that group at any level, by staying involved on our wiki, through email or on Tribe, anywhere you feel drawn to plug in and share your fabulousness. Long term there will be opportunities to come visit, short term or long term as our oasis becomes your recharging station.

* Amoration will be hosting an event in the holiday season of 2008; a Food Art exhibition will feature edible astonishments from around the world. If you are a culinary or visual artist who likes to work with food please get in touch as we begin the process of curating over a dozen artists working with a perishable medium. We will make sure there are affordable tickets and plenty of ways to get involved/volunteer for all of you to plug in and have fun....it's been too long since the AMO team has done a big event with this community!

If you're interested in exploring more of these themes as they explode into near future and far future perspectives find me next week at PLUMP's Alchemist Dream event; we'll be in the conference room at least half the night exploring Interactive Alchemy with the avatars I know and love. In this case and a few others, remote participation is available through Second Life, you're welcome to hop in and create an avatar to join us from anywhere around the world.

Improve my weak translations, add comments; I want to hear how you want to shine and grow long term. Creating this space for our dreams is what we do best.

not abiding separation

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/evonne/blog/c75aa521-197c-40a4-a3b9-b91c49ff2991"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/6f3/1e1/6f31e12b-a12b-4438-888c-fe5601ff3b07.thumb" width="65" height="66" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>In the forest alchemy it's easy to see the archetypes we play in everyday life, the ways in which we embody our fantastic selves as creative beings. There is great magic in our circles, in our friendships and the big and little things we create together.

The collaboration and integration is my focus, the passion that keeps me flying around the world to share with diverse communities. Sometimes my room has 40 television documentary producers, the next week 300 nonprofit technology geeks....there's the AIDS patients, the university professors, the foundations and lawmakers, the teachers and artists all around us. Somehow in 5-15 minutes I get to tell them that we can create infinite worlds together that can change everything around us.

Creative potential is rooted in love and disconnection from love is the primary root of most every problem. Looking at the macro level to poverty and water shortages, there is disconnection and lack of respect for the other as a vital part of the self. We forget how connected we are every minute of every day.

We need to be creating together right now, this minute and throughout our lives. Sitting on the sofa will only end in atrophy and death. Get up, go out, do more, be your very best and shine shine shine. We love it when you do.

I feel so lucky to have one gift inside: the recognition of brilliance. You are my friends because I have seen something brilliant in you that I want to nourish and help you grow. Please feed yourselves, love yourselves, know yourselves inside and out and if there's anything I can give you to help you along the way, ask and I will do my best to share.

&amp;lt;3 and more, many hugs to all of you for supporting the quiet times, the teary times, the times of wonder and awe throughout our lives.</div>
