My first World Hoop Day to celebrate and it was wonderful. Karin de Wit, my hoop teacher organized it in her hometown. It's probably the only place in Holland where a group of that size would gather, as that's where she's been teaching mostly.

I always thought I couldn't do it because I'm short (5'1"). That is only part of the equation, because with a hoop too large, it will definitely bang the floor, but there's more to it. Reason 1. After a very rainy day I boarded our little car with 5 hoops and 4 men in the pouring rain, but when we got to Breda 1 hour and 20 minutes later it was bright sunshine. And it was soooo exciting to actually see a bunch of people hooping in the park!... read more

My love commented that I look different when I came back. Not good, not bad, just different. I'll have to ask him if that is still the case several days later. I still do feel different. As I've said before I've run away from teaching and similar situations, situations where I was supposed to present in front of a group. It's like runni... read more

It is forever moving, and it takes sensitivity and a listening ear to forever adjust, and adjust, and adjust.
