i consider myself to be engaging: engaging with those around me and those i meet; the environment around me and the world in which i live. i have a lust for life. in engaging you, the person reading this, i am engaging you to see the world around us in new ways and sometimes in old ways. i love to create, and make each day an adventure. i love exploring in the city, adventures in the wilderness and wherever nature takes us, unveiling the mystic inside each of us. i am a musician, playing anything with strings, but focussing on the mandoline, guitar, dulcimer and dabbling on the violin. i play seasonally with a band in the bay area called the danse macabre, a collective of musicians and dancers and other motley performers. i love performance for performance sake: the costumes, the music, the chaos. i love the work i do, which is outdoor education in the marin headlands...teaching natural history in a beautiful place on a more or less itinerant schedule, which allows me to pursue all of my other arcane interests: art, musick, mischief and travel. one of the attributes that i have which makes me, i feel, very engaging is my ability to listen, empathize, be compassionate and passionate. i look forward to getting to know like-minded individuals (and un-like-minded individuals who're open to other ways of thinking). i could go on and on, but instead, why don't you drop me a line and let me know what's on your mind!
