Brooke grew up in a little town on a mountain in the middle of the Garden of Eden, a strange place of rock and water and pines. There are many Americas within America, and this was ours. Zora Neale Hurston wrote, " Her first dream was dead. Now she was a woman." True, but this implies something before the death of that dream- the intricate superstructure of dreams young girls create only together. In our America, Brooke and I spun dreams so entwining and elaborate that even the death blow of reality can never really get at their roots. This is what Brooke is to me - A dream Weaver, a white wictch, a Lilith on top of a mountain laughing into the bitter October wind. I love you Brooke. We only have one girlhood, bless you for finding me in mine.

When we were kids (yeah- I know you said not to tell about all the bad things we did to one another...but) I looked up to her so much...She was my favorate cousin, I wanted to be just like her! Yet she was my challenge because I felt that not I, or any one else could ever be as beautiful, smart, and strong as her. She was, and still is, an amaizing person! Brooke has been through so much in her life, yet she still comes back for more...She does not give up easy due to the family history of stubborness. She is totally the strongest person I know! Brooke is one of a kind! She knows how to be herself no matter what ANY one says. They dont make 'em like her any more...So u better enjoy her, because this -IS- the one and only Brooke ...and i love her sooooo verrry much!

Brooke.....where do I start. Brooke is my closest cousin. Brooke has been in and out of my life for 18 years. I have grown up with her and I have looked up to her. When I need someone when no one else was there, it was brook. She has many talents that are going to take her many place. There is nothing brooke can't do if she puts her mind to it. She's a weaver: independent, strong willed, Stuborn, compassionate, lovable, honest and trustworth. I love brooke and anyone who knows brooke understands the meaning she brings into our lives.

Brooke is a dear friend of our entire family. She is beautiful in every way and a very talented artist. She has influenced my children in a positive way and is a great mother, always keeping what is in the best interest of childen in mind over her own needs and wants. She is very giving and honest. Few people have such depth of character at such a young age. With all this wisdom, she still manages to be hip. What a modern Goddess!
