I started dancing (Jazz Ballet/Tap) when I was 5 (I still have reports stating I need to tuck my bum in more!) I spent many years dancing at The Dance Factory in Richmond (getting to sneak peaks at the members of Young Talent Time who often rehearsed there).
I switched to Drama when I was 12 and spent many years on the stage and in acting classes (my childhood dream was to be a famous movie star!) Discovered 'other' things as a teenager and left the performance world behind till at 19 I started doing Bellydance, which I loved. I did Caberet because it was the only thing available but after doing it sporadically for a few years, I was blessed to see Karen Gerhman perform in Melbourne (1998?). I was absolutely stunned and immediately fell in love with this style of dance. It still took a few years to finally meet some other dancers who had heard of FCBD but since then, we have fully taken on Tribal style and I have never looked back. I am no longer working (previously a youthworker) as I am a fulltime mumma to my beautiful little boy, Joshua (born 5/5/05)
