my earliest memory of dan is around 1994, listening to him on kalx while driving west across the bay bridge. i'd heard his show a half dozen times and i thought "this brother grimm is a good egg; i want to meet him." so i drew a crude cartoon of someone (me?) cleaning a bathroom with a toothbrush with the caption: "brother grimm - music to clean grout to" or some such silliness. i think i even mailed it to him. now we are super friends.
