As if signaling the coming end of this year,
the soft, heavy, whiteness of nature silences the world
so my ears hear nothing but the occasional light smack of heavy wetness
that only the first annual snow can make.
How the world can look quiet I cannot explain, but my mind is emptied,
mesmerized like a cub snuggling up to its hibernating mother by the
melodic dance of the falling magic which sets the rhythm of us all.
It is rare to see Mother Earth's best colors merged, as the green ... read more

tight and twist and back and forth
hesitation leaves me stuck in place
hesitation and multi focus
tight and twist results a jarred core
the planets are tangoing -
several reversing, several stuck, many comingling, and some flying through
a headache has crept in by rain and release
junked up in anger for the uncompassionate
slugged up in imbalance from processing
its coming and i can feel it

As Mercury does the Moonwalk
Each of us is Affected to Return -
Handed a Dose of Nostalgia
We Stew in Old Water.
To go back-wards is in actuality an impossiblilty,

I am still New, I am not the Method -
Though Perhaps I long to be.

The Young Buck suddenly is Retrograded Back to Dust
And yet on a New Quest.

In new older Bodies that need reminding.

(Borrowing the title of a Derrick Jensen book)

I was talking with my new friend Lori today about my teaching improvisation to the neighborhood home-schooled kids (and adults). The motivation to consider this I'm very thankful to Lori for, as well as the simple twist in language she gifted me with today reminding me in clearer terms what I already knew (which she also reminded me).

I mentioned my struggle to find the purpose in teaching movement, "other than fun it creates, why do is ... read more

May we turn from the battle of "I'm right you're wrong
to a loving acceptance that both are right and wrong,
if it be at all.
May we turn from greed and selfish thought
toward the realization that we are one,
and to do onto other is as we are doing to ourselves.
May we turn from complaining and fear
toward taking the responsibility
one person, one step, at a time.
May we turn towards challenge
rather than turning away,
and reap their rewards.
May we turn towards the sun
to shine... read more

Re: natures promise broke it's promise (in Grow Organic!) USDA organic can be trusted for the most part, and there are people working to make it better. That label can mean something important.

Re: how muscles respond to sitting in front of a computer (in Teaching Yoga) Right now I've gotten my office (work out of home) revamped so my desk is high enough for me to sit on a stool - which encourages me to sit up straight and actually move more frequently, it also enables me to stand (which is awesome).

I have a ... read more

how muscles respond to sitting in front of a computer (in Teaching Yoga) I'm looking for some clarification on how my muscles respond to sitting in front of a computer all day and how to best correct this.

I already am able to take a solid break every couple-few hours to walk or exercise or relax. And usually whe... read more
