about me
I have been a dancer most of my life. I have studied ballet, tap, jazz, modern, swing, and Middle Eastern. I also have played music for years and years. Mostly flute/piccolo, tenor sax for a little while, piano when I feel like it, and I've been dabbling in electric bass. I tried starting a band when I was in college, but it wasn't meant to be. I went to school for audio recording and I've done no recording since I graduated. So I work and I dance and somewhere in there I try to find time to sleep. Ah sleep...

My Blog

Just got back to work after a dance performance at a K-4 school. They oooed, they aaawed. Then at the end they all mobbed us with hugs and hand shakes. Some of them said "I like the way you dance." Some just looked at their feet and followed in line to get a hug. Once they started to clear out, one girl grabbed the microphone and yelled "COOL". Scared the crap out of me. I've really never had such a warm reception.

And I'm sad it's over. What a great way to start the year.

If anyone out there doesn't know already, I'm performing in the Rachel Brice show in Chicago this Saturday. Tara and I are doing a duet version of the KemWati piece from this summer. Very excited about the show and the workshops. All I have after that is to sit around and wait to see if I have a job after the company is sold. Either way, I've got some other things lined up that I'm really hoping will work out. Later y'all.
