about me
This is me, Michelle.
I try to be no one else. It would never work anyways. I have learned more about me and my life in the past few months than I think most people do in a lifetime. I admit to forgetting a lot. I am content; except for when I am restless. Puddles aren't ever really deep enough. I'd like to think that the burning smell I smell when driving isn't my car. Hand washing, sanitization Nazis evoke my ire. I am a dancer on and off the floor. Paradoxes and dichotomies intruige me to no end. Unlearning the meaning of the word "propriety" is currently underway. Fuzzy Socks are still the best.

Re: How to make cheap, shiny jewelry look tarnished/old?
(in DIY/ Bellydance on a Budget)
There is actually a spraypaint at Lowe's called something like "Hammered antique brass." If it's a solid piece with no chains (Spray paint and chains don't do so well together), a LIGHT dusting will help give you the look you want.

I actually don't feel the rings at all! They are big and rounded enough to where they just kindof lie there :)
Oh! And maybe it's the fabric the bra is made out of or the criss-cross tie construction, but this bra "Breathes" with me. I'm exc... read more discussion post on Fri, May 16, 2008 - 10:36 AM
I am finally finished! Sortof...
(in DIY/ Bellydance on a Budget)
Ok, I finally got over that DIY anxiety and started constructing that bra I've been trying to make for ages. I planned to do a lot more to it, but I kindof like the way it looks now, so I think I'll stop for a while and add a bit later.
Anyway... read more discussion post on Fri, May 16, 2008 - 9:33 AM

I think you should get them! Eight feet for only like fifteen bucks! That seems almost too good to be true. I'm sure you'll find an application for them if you just play around with them for a while. If there was some way you could tier it, it...

Re: May 9th checkin!
(in Weight Loss for Belly Dancers)
Ugh... to check in I have no idea how I'm doing. I've been sick with mono so have either been unable to eat anything, or had to eat a specific thing I was craving.
I will get back on this once I'm recovered and let you ladies know where I am... read more discussion post on Tue, May 13, 2008 - 9:08 AM
I am slowly but surely recovering from my ailing condition (erythema nodosum), which has been going on for nearly two months. I am VERY MUCH looking forward to being able to dance again, though I'm afraid of being rusty. Hopefully I'll pick it right back up. I am hoping for a full recovery and range of motion within two weeks. I am praying for NO permanent skin damage or tenderness.

Pretty sounding name, isn't it? Unfortunately what it stands for is not as pretty as the name, nor as fun. I have been out of dance for nearly a month because of a condition called Erythema Nodosum. It is thought to be a post-condition of strep and antibiotics, but doctors really don't know the cause, or a cure.

What it is, is that something (bacteria, medicine) gets into the fatty layer of the skin and lubricant of the joints. Red hard bumps ranging from an inch in radius to four inch... read more
