I admire your willingness to buck the system and make friends equally, regardless of age.
I admire your openness to be a willing friend to people even as rumored as myself.
I admire your desire to try new things, your need to support the arts - local whenever possible.
I admire your sense of humor, because it's as vitrolic as mine, and your (faire-influenced) respect for puns. It's important, shush.
Most of all, I admire your magic. You've been doing Faire long before I have. Though you run booths, I don't believe you do Faire just for the money.
I got a taste of a truly magical Faire with Blackpoint for the short time I was there. You remind me that Faire magic comes from the people, and not all of them have left. The magic of Faire comes from enough of those people, with enough desire, being in the same place.
I was astonished by Gilroy. After Vaca & Devore (the sex really is better down there, as
mentioned on Tribe), I was disenchanted. I took my sweet time getting to Gilroy for the first time. I'll be there much more this year.
Thanks for keeping it alive.
I admire your need to push me to be the better dancer I could be. No, I will never admit this again.
