All I know is that I kissed a few in my time, but none as cute as my Jeffe-frog (that's his other nickname ya know!)

That's a lil' toad, like the ones I used to catch all the time in the backyard where I grew up. Like frogs, but they like dry land more and they have little warts (that contain an acid in case some other critter trys to eat them). When they get scared they will sometimes pee on you too. But then you can charm them and make them your friends.
Once there was a life size sculpture of me, when I was about five, naked, gazing at a toad perched on my wrist. My mom made the sculpture -- she was an amazing artist -- after many times catching me doing just that (with the toad I kept in a terranium in my bedroom at the time) when I was supposed to be getting ready for school in the morning, lost in rapture. |

ain't it da truth?
That is so funny you say that Amy cuz in my childrens show recently, a kid wrote a story of a princess who turns into a frog and absolutely loves the way she looks....admiring her smooth green skin and how it reflects the sun, and being able to jump of course! She runs into a prince, unfortunately, and he kisses her thinking he's helping her out by saving her and all the while she's saying "NO!" Tragically, she turns back into a princess and storms away highly pissed, leaving behind a very befuddled prince! It was a hoot!!!
I've also been listening to lectures by Carolyn Myss who asks us to not buy into the "tribal mentality" that is the social norms....what will society think? what is the tribal timeline......graduate, get married, have kids, retire, blah blah blah......I stopped after get married.......then I wised up!!! I have an amazing life!!! And you are one of my inspirations Miss Amy!!! |

She is such a sweet looking frog, I love her little eyes!
I don't know what everyone else is waiting for. I look around and I see most of it already, just like your little frog. I saw real California river turtles (well, Western Pond Turtles) for the first time yesterday. It was like something out of a movie! I didn't grow up with wild turtles, so it seemed pretty amazing to me. |

Awww. I love toadies, too. They've always given me much more "royal treatment" than any prince or princess I've ever known.
Here are 2 nice photos of toadie love: people.tribe.net/e419e2fd-...1e368fb1e9 people.tribe.net/e419e2fd-...4784b43902 |

My mother told me that once, when I was about six years old, she found me in front of a TV set crying (btw, I feel like that rather often even today - the tv programs are terrible, lol) And when she asked what was wrong I explained that there was a lovely princess who had a great friend - donkey. They had a lot of fun together but she made a big mistake - she kissed him and he turned into a prince! Thats why I was crying so much - I wanted the donkey back! :-)

I agree. A lovely froggy is already a princess on her own. This is the cutest pic, by the way.
