about me
i am the professional guy next door who lives a rather comfortable life in a comfortable community. i might be the married, living together or single attorney, teacher or physician who you love or hate. i consider myself a kind and generous person with my time and resources. i welcome and embrace diversity, and i shun and reject fiercely all forms of discrimination which include, but are not limited to, ethnicity, cognition, gender, race, religion, physical or mental disability, and sexual orientation. although friends and family might add to this, my one identifiable prejudice is that i passionately dislike republican politics. i do confess to having a few republican acquaintances and relatives--these individuals simply lean towards being republicans, and are not 100% republicans; hence, they still have potential--but they remain in the closet--i very rarely open that door and talk about them!

July Fourth was never really a big deal for me or my family. Although my dad was a veteran and had fought in WWII and my mum was a school teacher, we never decorated our house in the standard patriotic garb of the neighborhood, nor did we ever attend a group picnic or barbecue. However, there is one...

I played tee-ball in elementary school and later played in a minor league for junior high kids. Looking back, I suppose my parents thought this was a constructive sporting activity which would occupy my unlimited free-time as well as condition me for other sports such as track and field--my father always thought I was a good sprinter. Of course, once in high school, I chose to join th...

School had just finished up for the year, and summer was beginning. Although my family wasn't wealthy, my parents did the best they could. A couple of summers, I remember going to a church camp. It wasn't one of those born-again Jesus Camps, simply a Lutheran church camp--hence there wasn't an excessive amount of religion. And of course, we would visit our maternal grandmother.
