about me
Originally from Barstow, California deep in the Mojave Desert I grew up training horses for showjumping. Once I moved to go to college I began studying belly dance and haven't stopped.

My specialities are Egyptain and American style cabaret. I also teach and perform regularly at a variety of local restaurants and showcases.

I am in a long-term relationship for the past 7 years and currently am in a troupe called Raks Halim. In my spare time, we go to concerts and hang out in Deep Ellum.

Yesterday was our "back yard" Windmill Stables horse show. I am so super pleased to say that my girls kicked horse butt in the 2' division!! In my 2'3" class my rider placed fourth and third in her FIRST ever show! I was super excited for her.... read more

Her doctor gave her two options. The first. Remove the lump and a 60% chance of coming back. The second, remove it all and get fake boobs and have a 3% chance of com... read more

After changing trailers (and the rig I drove had no trailer brakes) we were finally off. I promptly got the truck stuck but thankfully they were prepared and pulled us out!

After much work trying to figure out how the poorly organized show was run we were finally underway! One of my girls got a 5th in her first class and then fell off in her second roun... read more

Ugh. Just when I thought things were going well at the barn I get a mother who tells me that her and her kid feel I'm not pushing her hard enough and that I'm more her buddy than her teacher. Well, that pisses me off a little!

Mostly because maybe it's partially true? I don't think yelling and screaming at them is the way to go. I don't think that having them fear me is the way to get them to work for me. Maybe it's just too drastically different between the two styles of the former t... read more
