Donaleah is such a fun person! I love to watch her perform because she puts so much heart into her dancing and I consider it a blessing to have her as a friend. I can't wait to see how she continues to grow as a dancer and a new instructor! :)

My daughter and I attended our first SCA event with an effort for garb. We went to Fool's War back in April in jeans and t-shirts but this time we tried to dress.

These Girls Raised In The South are led by the fantabulous Miriam Gamal and has only been together a few months but have a full schedule from now until the new year. October 26 from 7-9 we'll be at JavaBytes on Hwy 96 dancing to raise money for the Susan G Komen Foundation. Come out, buy some coffee (the proceeds are being donated) and tip your dancer :)

I am a 40 year old mother of 2 teenagers that has fallen in love with belly dance in all it's forms. I am a perfectionist and find it somewhat difficult to learn a dance that has no "rules" but part of the fun is twisting my twisted mind around that fact. I started dance as a birthday present to my aging and rebellious body. It just will not listen to me anymore, so I wanted to show it that I do still love it.
