hoop class at MBody Studio
Well, I went to my first hoop class tonight and it was fantastic! This is something I need to remember - learning on your own is good but the energy you get from others in a class setting is invaluable. There was a lot of giggling and shrieking when someone got a new move. Good times.

I managed to learn the "float up" move and realized that oddly enough I'm a lefty instead of a righty when it comes to hooping. That's why this move is hard for me. I usually hoop clockwise and that's w... read more

blingy hoops
I think I like the mirror tape much better than the prisma tapes or the holographic tapes. I've never seen anything glimmer like this when it moves. It's magical.

trophies, er, I mean, bruises from hooping
You'd think I'd know to stop before it gets to this point, but after a year I still get bruised hands! Just tonight I bruised them up pretty bad at the club and didn't even realize it until I'd gotten home and went to wash my hands. When it hurts to wash your hands, you've gone too far! LOL!

Snake Hips
This hoop is called Snake Hips, named after a Future Sound of London song. I love this one and it was fun to see it evolve. I had no idea what pattern I was going to do, I just took the colors of tape I had, and this is what came out of it!
