Looking for old keyboards for future art car (blog entry) So far I have collected between 13,000 and 15,000 computer keyboard keys for an art car I intend to create. I figure I need around 30,000 total.

Looking for old keyboards for future art car

So far I have collected between 13,000 and 15,000 computer keyboard keys for an art car I intend to create. I figure I need around 30,000 total.
The keys will be glued to sheets of nylon mesh (as small ceramic tiles are) and then those attached to the car. The keys will spell out words and phrases, mostly quotations about technology.
For instance the driver's side door will be covered with 'Enter' keys and include the dialogue between Dave and the HAL 6000 computer from "2001: A Space Odyssey":
"Open the pod bay door, Hal."
"I'm sorry, Dave, I don't think I should do that..."
While I don't even own a car I believe that I will have no trouble finding someone who will donate the surface of their car for this work.
To this end I am looking to acquire as many keyboards as possible. They can be stripped of letters, numbers*, arrows, F8 (fate keys for the front), esc, enter, and 'back space' keys (or left whole) and brought to Roberts Hardware, 1629 Haight St, where I work. (*numbers will cover the trunk to as many places of pi as will fit)
For 4 or more I will pick them up anywhere in SF (I only have a bicycle)
