about me
My journey has taken many turns, like the thread that runs in a complex celtic knot. I can see the continuity in my life, though I'm not certain I could express it well enough to tell anyone else what it is. I have been an Athiest, a Christian, a Practicing Jew, an Agnostic, a Fundamentalist-Evangelical Christian, a broken believer, a reborn spiritualist, a Neo-Celtic Earh-based Trinitarian Spiritualist and a jester willing to poke friendly fun at all of it. I am heavier than I prefer, healthier than I expected, less charismatic than would be convenient, and at the happiest point of my life so far. I am fortunate enough to have two friends who have known me most of my life, even though I have lived a large part of my life away from the town of my rearing.

The last few weeks, since I broke my toe, have been very instructive. The number of people who have stepped forward to help us has been wonderful and reassuring. We gave 30 day notice to our landlords the day *before* the accident, so Tabi has been loaded with packing and moving along with keeping up our various commitments and taking care of me. We have not had to do it alone. Fearing that I would reinjure myself when I was first out of the hospital, friends lent me their homes (two diff...

On Monday of this week I took a bunch of stuff out of our truck and put it into our storage space. I needed to use the truck for something else, and most of what was in the truck was slated for dump, which would not open until Tuesday. On Tuesday I loaded up an old propane refrigerator that our landlords asked us to run to the dump then returned to our storage locker to get the rest of stuff we were taking there. One of the items that I had stored on Monday was a hollow steel beam left at ...

Hernia surgery. It went well, now I get to sit back and do nothing for a while...well, I'm sure I will work on the computer...and I may walk the dog in a few days...and (whap!) That is the sound of Tabi putting her foot down and telling me to Take It Easy!
More later, now I'm gonna go sleep a while.

I haven't posted for a long time. Life has become very busy trying to keep the wolf from the door. The non-profit job that I had is now gone, partly a result of the global financial crisis. I am still editing the WELL Newsletter, the last copy of which can be seen at www.willitseconomiclocalization.org/files/well/WELLBucket.01.09_0.pdf. I have also started to learn HTML, CSS, and XHTML in the process of designing a website for Tabi www.tsaknits.com and another for myself www.macame...
