This gown was a wonderful collaboration with the lovely and talented Charlotte Jackson ie:the Bride. And it was in keeping with the setting. The ceremony took place at a beautiful private estate in Malibu. The pool house for which Charlotte designed and created the shell grotto look and feel, She brought me in to create/paint the murals and trompe l'oeil sea creatures. For Charlotte's wedding attire, I created a "seaweed" covered halter neck gown with separate removable train, matching reverse fabric capri pants and a silk chiffon sleeve/wrap. Charlotte added her own layers of painted texture to the dress, it was a wonderfully collaborative creative process. And we had the "something blue" all sew up... as they say Photo by Tim Peyton
