Environmentally, I feel strongly that we should always give great care for the only planet that we have to live on. 'Don't bite the hand that feeds you'. God or no god, we should always be good stewards ... regardless of religious or non-religious beliefs. Check into the Zeitgeist movies about the Resource Based Economy (RBE).
The Earth Pledge: "I pledge allegiance to the Earth and all the life it supports. One Planet, in our care, irreplaceable, with sustenance and respect for all. May the forest be with you."

Health wise, I don't like the health care system in the US at all. It's an embarrassment that big businesses (usually monopolies) make loads of money off of people who get sick or hurt - it's immoral. The US should have a public option of some sort. I enjoy the Naturopathic Medicine philosophies about preventative health. Enjoy my tribe, "Naturopathic Medicine"

Politically, I'm an INDEPENDENT - I'm conservative on many issues & I'm liberal on others (I disagree with liberals on illegal imm. & Islam). I enjoy the political humor of the "Daily Show" & the "Colbert Report."
I don't think that many conservatives today deserve to carry the "conservative" label rather, they should be known for what some of them really are: "CONSUMERATORS" that seem to have no conscience. I was disgusted with the corruption & incompetence of the Bush W. administration & I'm also very disappointed with 'SPINELESS' Democrats. I have lost confidence in our gov'ts ability to do the right things & I've lost confidence in some Americans ability to recognize the difference.
The "Tea-Baggers" should've been teabagging during the Bush years. Nobody grew big gov't like G.W. Bush while giving huge tax breaks to the wealthiest top 2% and assorted deregulation ending in the near collapse of the economy. BUSH TURNED EVERY PROBLEM INTO A MAJOR CRISIS!!! I strongly believe in voter accountability. Those who voted for him in 2004 should also be held accountable for keeping him in office/power for an additional 4 years. They should lose their right to vote for voting for the worst President in US history who caused more destruction than any other administration. You should be ashamed of yourself.
I will not vote for any politician who is not tuff on BORDER SECURITY, ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION & Islam/sharia. Implement E-Verify and BAN any form of sharia in the USA! We desperately need to enforce the laws already in the books. Amnesty has already failed us, which is why we're in this situation now. Thank Reagan & his '86' Amnesty program for that one. I mostly blame the businesses & gov't that hire illegals, i.e. CORPORATE AMERICA - they are the FELONS. If the Democrats don't get tuff on these issues, along with S.S.#/I.D. theft patrol, outsourcing/exporting America patrol, port security, oil dependence and Wall St. run amuck etc, they may loose in both 2010 & 12. All of these issues are synergistically connected & are destroying America from within & can no longer be ignored. They all need to be on a priority list - Pass it on please.
I feel strongly about our US Constitution & the principle, 'Separation of church & state'. Enjoy my tribe, "Separation of church & state"

“Religious freedom is one thing,” says Joan Bokaer, director of TheocracyWatch, a project of the Center for Religion, Ethics, and Social Policy (CRESP) at Cornell University. “But religious extremism is something completely different. What people aren’t aware of is just how deeply the radical religious right has penetrated our government—in all three branches. We really are very close to becoming a theocracy. People have reason to be worried.”

I feel that women should have a legal right to choose an abortion & it's nobody else's business. Nobody likes the Idea of an abortion. It's NOT like cotton candy at the fair. We can work together to keep abortion at a minimum with the right policies that actually make sense. The word abortion is *NOT* in the bible & out of more than 600 laws of Moses, none comments on abortion. Enjoy this article, "What Does The Bible Say About Abortion?"

I don't want to be dominated by any religion especially the Abrahamic religions (especially Islam). If I were to chose a favorite religion I'd go with Buddhism. I enjoy meditation to relax and the idea that all of life is "sacred." Killing in the name of any god or holy text is pure evil and a crime against humanity.
At some point in ones life, one must begin to ask very serious questions concerning religion. I simply got tired of being lied to. The bible should have a disclaimer sticker that reads something like this:
"This book discusses gods. The existence of entities with supernatural powers is controversial, and many believe that myths, especially other people's myths, are fictional. This material should be approached with an open mind, studied carefully, and critically considered."
or,
"These stories are a collage of many other, much older stories that are known to be myths, legends &/or Astrotheology & should never be taken as literal fact."

“When you consider that God could have commanded anything he wanted--anything!--the Ten [Commandments] have got to rank as one of the great missed moral opportunities of all time. How different history would have been had he clearly and unmistakably forbidden war, tyranny, taking over other people's countries, slavery, exploitation of workers, cruelty to children, wife-beating, stoning, treating women--or anyone--as chattel or inferior beings.”
- Katha Pollitt
"I contend we are both atheists, I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours."
- Historian Stephen Henry Roberts 1901-71
