Much Happening

Things have been just crazy busy the past couple weeks!

tyger has been here all week and will be here all next as well. We are finding out how well we do together 24/7 though relatively normal everyday circumstances with me going to work and she with her own agenda each day. As far as I'm concerned, its going very well. We butt heads occasionally, but we work things out pretty easily, and I've only had to put my foot down and say "Girl..." in that tone of voice a couple times - lol.

We attended a kink community event last Saturday at a gay leather bar in Boston. There were several great demos (double short single tails was very cool) and lots of interesting conversation. It was a pan sexual event and the regulars were very welcoming to us straight types.

In our own play activities, I have taken tyger farther and deeper than before, and that has been very cool. I am very proud of how she is developing and deepening her connection to her inner masochist - weg.

The BIG news however, is that we will be moving in together in Charleston, SC! I got a new job that I am very pumped about. So we have been busy as can be pulling together the things we will need to set up house and making all sorts of other arrangements. Moving bay is the 14th.

On top of everything else, we are going to the opera this evening - Vivaldi's Juditha Triumphans in a small venue preformed by the Boston Baroque on period instruments - should be wonderful even though we have the cheap "nose-bleed" seats. And tomorrow night there is a private play party at the home of a dedicated kinkster. I'm sure there will be news to share by Sunday. Hope I can find the time to post it!

Weekend with tyger

We had an amazing weekend together.

It really began with tyger volunteering to take part in a live demo of mummification at the New England - Dungeon Society (NE-DE) class we attended Friday evening. She really needs to post the details of this experience on her blog, so I will not step on her toes by saying too much, other than I was very impressed by her inner strength and could not be more proud of her.

After going out with the NE-DS gang after the class, we were not in any shape to play by the time we got to my place, but on Saturday morning we had some fun and tyger experienced a bit of a cathartic break, releasing pent up emotions from the previous night.

Later we had dinner early in Boston's North End in a nice small Italian place. Wonderful food and nice company as well - one of my ex ltrs and another friend in the lifestyle.

Sunday was rearrange furniture time to fit a larger TV into my bedroom, then we attended a kickoff meeting for a NE-DS special interest group on spirituality in the lifestyle. It was very worthwhile and next time the discussion will focus on the role of ritual. Back at my place, we had a very intense scene were I bound tyger totally immobile for the first time. She went home with a somewhat sore bottom.

Overall, like I said, an amazing weekend.

Busy

I've not posted in awhile - "busy" I guess - lol.

I'm looking for a new job, someplace warmer than New England would be nice. One goal is to get something where I would make enough to allow tyger and I to cohabitate, which is not possible at the moment. Another goal is health insurance benefits. I'm a "contractor" now and have no benefits at all.

I had a phone interview with a firm from Charleston, SC earlier this week - a position I could do with my eyes closed. Hope they make an offer - Charleston looks like a pretty nice place to live (he says in early March in New England, not thinking much about what August in the South will be like).

Both tyger and I are really looking forward to this weekend. Two great classes with local lifestyle groups, a dinner planned in an Italian place in Boston's North End, and lots of quality time together. Then next week I have a paper for an upcoming conference that I must get done. So "busy" will continue!

beautiful submission

tyger and I had a wonderful weekend together spending time in Mystic, CT, and suburban Boston.

I can not recommend Mystic Pizza of movie fame too highly. We did a little shopping, attended a chowder festival, and spent time skulking about several 19th century cemeteries, including my favorite, Mt. Auburn in Cambridge while it snowed yesterday morning.

Our play together was exceptional, and I could not be more proud of her and her submission and endurance. Both are truly beautiful and seem to deepen each time we are together. She continues to open to me and our connection continues to deepen.

While we have faltered a bit in maintaining our daily Reiki practice, having other things to do in the evening when we are together, we will get back on track again tonight.

crisis

tyger and I suffered and survived a crisis yesterday. The whole story is far too complicated to recount, but the result was that partially though both action and inaction on my part she suffered an emotional hurt inflicted by another.

Daddy Jim was able to help us work though the crux of the crisis to see that the major blame lay with the one that cause the hurt. But I fully acknowledge that I made mistakes. I will .do my utmost to learn from them and not repeat them.

It is hard to face one's weakness. But when we do, we become stronger and better, at least I hope that is the case. I think tyger's and my relationship is stronger and better as a result of this experience.

control

Our tyger and I talk everyday, usually for hours, discussing all manor of things, but mostly focusing on various aspects of domination and submission and the dance of erotic power exchange.

As often happens when I "thresh" (a Quaker expression) something long enough, I come to a new understanding. Simply put, I now see that my kink is largely about control. Control of my partner's sexual experience, what pain and pleasure she will experience, what techniques I will chose to use or withhold. This is not really a major revelation as much as a refining of my thoughts about what motivates and drives me to pursue this style of loving.

Our Reiki Practice

Part of Tyger's and my weekend was a wonderful Reiki 1 class on Sunday afternoon. (Thank you again, Kala!)

We have decided to do our self-healing practice together each evening when we are apart and will practice healing each other when we are together. So last night was our first attempt at this, working though the practice as we had been taught while connected over Skype. It was interesting and seemed to work nicely. I felt both drained and refreshed after. I am looking forward to continuing this.

I can not recommend Reiki enough for anyone who has sensitivity to energy or wants to get some control over the energy around them and direct it for healing purposes.

Weekend

Wow. Just wow in every imaginable sense.

And I just was not ready for her smile nor her energy and presence.

Intense, intimate, and she flew, beautifully, amazingly. And then she asked for more, and I took her to the precipice again and again.

Again and again pleasure, then catharsis, sobs, and comfort and care.

Our lives have intersected and are now joined.

Wow.

Fly

I was talking with Tyger late last night, and right as time for bed approached and I was getting ready to say good night, she began to express some fears and doubts. A deeply connected D/s relationship is a very emotionally vulnerable place and her fears were very understandable. We talked it out - I told her that when one comes to the precipice and can see only darkness ahead, when you do take that next step you have to believe that one of two things will happen - either that there will in fact be something solid there to stand on or that you will be taught how to fly.

I will step off that precipice with her, holding her hand in mine, and I think that she will fly, but if she can not, I know that there is, in fact, something very solid there on which she can just as well stand.

the surprise has gotten only better

My last entry mentioned my surprise at making a special friend and wondered if something more would come of it.

It has developed into much more and more quickly than I could ever have imagined possible. Tyger is an amazing woman in so many ways, and I am so glad that she took the first step and initially approached me, telling me that she liked my smile.

Thank you dear girl for all that you give me - hope and faith in the future and so very much more.
