Beautiful buxom baby,
Here's to you and your intoxicating elixir of bubbly life livings...
Thank goddesses for your grounding cheer and wisdom words...
I revel in the light of your sincere and present friendship gifts to me...

You led that brothel of bliss in past times,
And now revisit the dressings of another pleasure palace,
Which we create this lifetime with our musings and growings,
Together.

Love you.

wise words

The game is not about becoming somebody, it's about becoming nobody
--Ram Dass

Almost always, the creative dedicated minority has made the world better.
--Martin Luther King, Jr.

You are me and I am you.
It is obvious that we are inter-are.
You cultivate the flower in
yourself so that I will be beautiful.
I transform the garbage in myself so
that you do not have to suffer.
I support you you support me.
I am here to bring you peace
you are here to bring me joy.

God was full of Wine last night,
So full of wine

That He let a great secret slip.
He said:

There is no man on earth
Who needs a pardon from Me -

For there is really no such thing,
No such thing
As Sin!

That Beloved has gone completely Wild-He has poured Himself into me!

I am Blissful and Drunk and Overflowing.

Dear world,
Draw life from my Sweet Body,

Dear wayfaring souls,
Come drink your fill of liquid rubies,
For God has made my heart
An Eternal Fountain!
--Hafiz

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
--Marianne Williamson

A man can't ride your back unless it's bent.

here

my friends,
this poem keeps coming into my life. read aloud by a friend at her kitchen table. opened to me in a bookstore. recited in a circle of community. found in my backpack crumpled and xeroxed in fancy font. it gets me every time...

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.

I knew Josh from VBC 7 and VBC 8. he was the genius lights guy who made the vbc gallery sparkle through his luminous magic. i just heard he had a major asthma attack that led to cardiac arrest that he did not recover from. he died yesterday, december 12th, at the age of 36.

my fondest memory of him was pouring him shots of whiskey in the basement of the templeton building early afternoon during vbc when a handful of us couldn't deal anymore. he was such a sweet sweet soul. he will be miss... read more

Dear all,

Okay, long forward. And many of you probably already received this thread from Hindi's email, but I wanted to post on tribe. Intense times. I pray it's not the case, but Iike so many of us, I have an uneasy feeling about the next few months. I'm taking a sabbatical from Portland for 9-12 months--leaving next week. I plan to be back, but i found myself packing gold jewelry and passport even though i rarely wear gold and have no plans to be abroad...i just love you all so much and ... read more

hey friends,

i know it's burner season, but have you been paying attention to the unprecedented attacks on journalists and activists outside the Republican National Convention in St. Paul?? Armed raids of the homes of indy journalists, activist organizations such as Food not Bombs and others. WTF???

Please see below and make it know that it is unacceptable for Ramsey County and the City of St. Paul to press charges against Democracy Now! journalists, who were doing their job and exercis... read more

about me
a midwest girl educated on the east coast and awakened on the west coast. always trying to live in the moment and choose love over fear.

i am so inspired by the creative community in portland; heaven really is on earth -- in a valley nestled between the coruscating sea and mystical mountains, divided by a T of ancient, silent rivers. here, i journeyed, and found souls so connected to the beauty of creation, so in love with this dream of life, this joyful rite, that the streams of radiance have ignited my own magical flight, and i am deeply humbled by all that i have found here. i love you all.
