Princess Leah

My Favorite Nail polish is a red I bought in 1996 called Princess Leah. I had a whole Star Wars pack of shades, including: R2D2- bright silver flecked blue, C3PO-copper, and Chewy-bronze brown. I've long lost or given away those other shades, the ones that made sense. I mean the colors matched the names. Why is Princess Leah a red? Wouldn't white or silver logically complete the set? Silver because the other shades are metallic or white like that ludicrous belted night gown get up that passes for royal clothing in George Lucus's vision of a Space Opera. Yeah, and people who can travel light speed have yet to invent Bras.
Marketing people may or may not think in metaphor, but the "living" are assigned warm colors, as opposed to cool metal shades. The manufacture probably had a red for the kit and thought "princess". I'd think it ought to be white, and then I remind myself, I'd pick up a firearm and rescue myself. So Princess Leah is Red. And not just any red, it's Vital Blood Red. And not just any bodily blood, it is the shade of glowing red sheen of virginal blood and moon cycles. Out on a space ship, where there is no gravitational pull of the moon, do women call it moon cycles? What if you live on a moon?! Does it randomize your flow? Bet there is Birth control, especially since there's no underwear.
I must live on a moon. But I've never been so happy see blood as I am this day.

*giggles* I love this! And how cool is a whole pack of Star Wars nail polish?

yeah, much more exciting than the Indiana Jones pack which would, most undoubtedly, contain all browns.

Actually Trudie, I think that would have brown for his hat, red for all the blood he's spilled (his own as well as others), gold for the Ark in the first movie and blinding white for the color my vision goes when that hussy in Temple of Doom screams.
