about me
I have been dancing since I was 5. Many years of ballet, tap and modern Jazz. Then came the era of Disco, Urban Cowboy and Punk - this ages me! I love the Middle-Eastern arts and culture and can't seem to get enough of belly dancing. I share my life with my soul mate, Gary, my two sons, Erich and Nate, and my ever mischevious cat, Theo. I love to cook, relax with friends, create costumes and dance.
It seems like this Fall has gone by in a flash! Just a little bit ago I was preparing for the Renaissance Faire! The holidays are here and I'm just not ready for the year to end!
Work has been crazy busy! We had a wonderful senior management working retreat in Blowing Rock, NC the week before Thanksgiving. Then went to Florida for TDay and last week I was up in Maine for our office party up there. I'm so glad to be home for a few weeks before we go away for Christmas.

So my son, Erich, is in his Senior year at Savannah College of Art and Design! I have only two more quarters to pay! Yay!!!! Right now he is only 3 1/2 hours drive away and he is talking about working in Colorado! I can't drive within a days time to Colorado! I know he has to go where he can work and do what is his passion, but does it have to be that far away??? I know.....I'm being codependent.....but we have such a good relationship and he is my only child other than my stepson (who ...

I think I have finally caught up on my sleep from the last weekend at Ya Halla! It was a wonderful event and I would highly recommend attending! Isis, Del and their staff are wonderful! They are so organized and the event ran smoothly.
The line up of instructors and performers was absolutely spectacular. I took classes from Ma Shuqa, Bozenka, Fahtiem, Aziza and Angelika Nemeth! WOW!!! It's not easy to get all these ladies in one weekend workshop! There was also Rachel Brice and Zo...

Thursday morning, Debbie aka Zuleikha, myself and our instructor, Yasmine will be boarding the plane for Dallas, TX to attend Yaa Halla Y'All! Deb and I are dancing a duet as Bashira Bellydance on Friday night. Yasmine will be performing on Saturday night and our friend and co-dancer, Shayda will be performing a solo on Friday too.
