Another Day in Paradise

Catching Up.....

It seems like this Fall has gone by in a flash! Just a little bit ago I was preparing for the Renaissance Faire! The holidays are here and I'm just not ready for the year to end!

Work has been crazy busy! We had a wonderful senior management working retreat in Blowing Rock, NC the week before Thanksgiving. Then went to Florida for TDay and last week I was up in Maine for our office party up there. I'm so glad to be home for a few weeks before we go away for Christmas.

I haven't been to dance class in awhile. I'm feeling so out of it!!! I feel FAT....and when I last danced at Yasmine's birthday hafla I totally screwed up big time! I'm hoping it was just because I was so totally tired after coming back that same day from a week of meetings. Thank you to Misty for giving me support that night and helping me to understand that there are times when we just don't feel 100% but that doesn't make us a bad dancer.

I'm not even near finishing my Christmas shopping! YUCK!!! Why do I have to be totally responsible for buying all the gifts???? I need to give hubby a list too....like HIS parents! I haven't had time to put up my decorations. I'm seriously considering not this year. We are leaving on Christmas eve and I don't have any plans for a party this year. So why??? I know....I'm sounding bah humbug!

I haven't even had time to sew anything either! I've just been so out of sorts! I hope January will bring some calm to my stormy life!

*psst* I haven't even started Christmas shopping yet...shame on me.

I've really been out of the look for five months and its driving me crazy, I just can't seem to get the motivation together to dance! Maybe I should just come see you and we should both go!

Well, hello there! It's been a busy year, hasn't it? I've been teaching a lot, 6-8 classes weekly, and making pots too. The year has sped by!
I keep thinking that one day I would like to come to NC and visit you! There's quite the history of pottery making in NC, and I have a friend who lives in Charlotte who I haven't seen since 1996 or something!! Way too long.
I hope you have a very peaceful Xmas and a Happy Yule!
Keep in touch!

Think of it as a typical winter thing -- we tend to hibernate, even if it's simply slowing down our normal activities. I feel your pain, doll -- all I want to do is dance right now & choreograph this pirate routine we have coming up in Feb, but lack of space due to piled-up packed boxes prevents me from doing so. Talk about cabin fever!

As far as Christmas, do what gives you joy & forget the rest. Don't do anything because you feel like you have to, because it's "tradition" or because everyone else either does it or expects it. You are in charge of your own happiness & no one else's!

Oh sweetie, you're most welcome. We all have those times, and the best thing to do is smile and dance your way through it. *hugs*

Don't feel bad. I haven't put up a tree or done holiday baking in 12-15 years. The holidays should be about stuff and people you enjoy. Don't feel guilty.
