about me
Artemis - The Goddess of the Wilderness, the Hunt, and Wild Animals

She is the daughter of Zeus and Leto, and Apollo's twin sister. Artemis is a friend
to mortals, and dances through the countryside in her silver sandals giving her
divine protection to the wild beasts, especially those that are very young.
She rides her silver chariot across the sky and shoots her arrows of silver Moonlight
to the earth down below. Even though Artemis had sweet and loving beginnings,
and indeed, she could love most intensely, she could also be very cold and
unforgiving. Once, after a long day of of hunting, she went to bathe in a sacred
pool. A man passing by named Actaeon caught sight of her. Bad idea. Artemis
heard him, turned around, and in fury threw water at him. As the three droplets
hit him, he transformed into a stag.

Be afraid, be very afraid....

the priorities of our educators. Apparently a 6 year old's haircut is more important than whether or not he's learning to read. And to top it off why in the world would you suspend a kindergartener?!

"The last thing I want to do is punish citizens of a state who would love to have a REAL ID license but can't get one," Chertoff said. "But in the end, the rul... read more

I've been trying to post photos from my trip to Knotts Scary Farm and stupid tribe won't upload them. It doesn't even tell me that the file is to big... it just doesn't do it... that is bothersome to me. Maybe I'll have better luck on MySpace.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

I did some editing of this letter after I found some things on the internet. Although the original e-mail that I received stated that Ben Stein wrote and recited this entire thing, he did not. He wrote and recited the first portion and in later years someone added the rest. I've edited to the best of my knowledge wh... read more

Look I figure since Social Security will be in the red by 2017 and insolvent by the year 2041 none of us are going to see it anyway. So why are we paying into it? I think we should all get our fucking money back!

At the very least they can stop taking the social security and medicare out of our paychecks. I could use that money right now.
