This Spaceman is excited because I just found out that I have been accepted as a label dj for Antiscarp Records, purveryors of premium Finnish wierdo trance. So this coming Friday, November 16 will be my first Organix set as a label dj! Hooray! As a result, my set will probably get a little wierd. Well, I just heard back from my new buddy Raoul over in ganja mecca, and the good news is now official. Our local hero, Spaceman Spliff, will have the privalege of playing a four hour chill out set at a smart shop in the Red Light District called Conscious Dreams Kokopelli, on Friday September 21. I was able to get the gig through a post on goatrance.nl. If any djs are travelling, I highly recommend posting on local forums, it seems to work.

What a week. Nine days ago I was praying for dry Sundays and enjoying my musical opportunity at the Sunday Fire Jams. Then came a request from Chris to open the club, and later that day, while sailing the teas of Spice Traders, I was asked by Mythril to play the Freakbox party on Saturday. Happy Earth Day! To celebrate tonight, we will be burning petrochemicals on kevlar wicks while listening to frequencies pumped through non-degradable electronic devices (which will be obsolete soon enough), powered by a battery, while inhaling burning plant matter wrapped in tree fibre lit by yet more petrochemical fuel. Weather permitting.

Spaceman Spliff is a psychadelic dj from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He is the dj at the Sunday Fire Jams and a rotating guest at Organix. The Spliffman plays all styles of psychadelic electronic music: toking trip-hop tunes; worldly psydub; ethnic-infused psybreaks; booty shaking progressive; epic anthemic club psytrance; intensely wierd Finnish forest trance; and party-ending chilled-out ambient.
