A letter from some brilliant smartass to the Berkeley Daily Planet about Israel (blog entry) "Editors, Daily Planet:

The Nature Of The Girl.

i wander about on Tribe, seeking a healthy discussion, a scandalous romp, a sensual evening, a poorly-coordinated huggingfest, a stern and healthy spanking, a dose of gloomy music, a pajama party, a session of strawberry consumption.

Friend-wise, i like someone with an interesting interior, and perhaps an interesting exterior as well; the sort of person i can have a long conversation with, or just share a vibe with. Some bonds are silent; that's fine. Philosophical discussion and movie-watching both have their place. i'm also not terribly keen on gossipy, complainy sorts of people, as i am only 20 years old and my wounds from high school are still partially open.

Goth folks tend to float my boat, as do artists and craftspeople, geeks, philosophical types, creative dressers and spiritual individuals who refuse to shut their eyes. i have been known to spend time with anime otaku as well, as i am a Japanophile of long standing, and with comix folks, pagans and furries. i am not, however, particularly intent on giggling over the latest low-grade, poorly animated show for preteen boys to land on our shores, or on discussing the latest Marvel comix; genre work does not interest me for genre's sake.

i am a proud and loving kinkster, and i enjoy meeting, befriending and perhaps romping with fellow BD/SM and kinky folks. Apart from the standard submission and masochism, i am especially into letting out my inner kitten and my inner little girl; other little girls and kittens to play with would be wonderful! n_n

about me
i'm silly, serious, absurdly sensible, and like all of us, a logical paradox. i enjoy the portrayal of things and the telling of stories, by both myself and others. i've experienced things in my life, less than some and more than others, and hopefully i've learned from a fair amount of them. i have been called charismatic by some, overbearing by some; inside, i can be very tender, tender and afraid. It seems i mature quickly, and yet i have a very long ways to go. Often those who find me, find me consumed: consumed with joy, passion, animal nature, one-upmanship or general expansiveness, occasionally with hatred, jealousy, anger or fear. Ultimately, though, i am starting to see the beauty in simplicity, in centeredness, in reduction to my basic self.

Francois Schuiten is a prominent Belgian comics artist, best known for Les Cites Obscures (Cities Of The Fantastic), a parallel world created with friend and renowned writer Benoit Peeters. His work is fantastic in many senses of the word - surreal, beautifully-rendered, and highly imaginative. His vision of science fiction is as far from genre work as possible - fresh, wide-eyed, wide-minded and sincere. There's a lot of Jules Verne in there, along with some steampunk, some mythology and tal... read more

i have not been on Tribe very much recently, and i have not been out and about at all for months.

i am writing an application to "www.landmarkcollege.org", which is nerve-racking and is taking some time - i am, after all, applying to a school for high-potential kids with ADD and other learning disabilities; if the application went quickly, perhaps i wouldn't need to apply. :D

In short, pardon the dust while i remodel my psychological constructs. >:D
