So, I've been back from southeast asia just about two months now (damn!!); and just starting to feel "myself" again - sorta. I fought a serious battle against anger and depression..is that normal? I'm just back from Thailand :( It's been a week since my return and only a couple of days at work, but it makes me sad how quickly I'm assimilating back into the grind. It may be that I haven't had the chance to reflect; offer a show and tell of sorts. A good friend graciously offered the use of her West Seattle home for just that purpose, so be on the lookout for invites to those that have an interest. 24 hours and 20 minutes of travel time and I finally made it to my guesthouse in Bangkok. I'm exhausted, hot, and hungry!! Need a nap and a shower to set me right, but I'm forcing myself to stay awake until night to try to curb jet lag. Flight was unadventurous but LONG!!! Bangkok cabbies are INSANE. Lane markers are a suggestion only. Love the guesthous-very chill environment. Yup..found the recommendation here on Tribe, so I support the Shanti Guesthouse.

I've bought my ticket! All the research, saving, and talk has come to fruition and I'm really going! I leave Seattle February 23rd (at 2:55 am-ack!) and return March 23rd, 2006. I feel a lot of love and support surrounding my trip.
