I consider myself culturally Jewish, but spiritually Agnostic. I believe that there is more to the universe than we currently understand and that not everything can be explained by theorems and equations.
Although I have not, personally, had a "deeply spiritual experience", I have encountered things that just don't "make sense" and yet still are. I know people who truly believe spiritual things have happened to them. I respect their reality as much as my own. Although I'm comfortable in many types of prayer, please don't ask me to pray to a person or human. I'll gladly pray to a tree (or mountain, or river, etc) for a it has astounding qualities that reflect upon the perfectly ordered universe. But I cannot worship another human for that denies the inherent equality of all humans. Whatever the god/creator/supreme being is, it is something beyond our description or comprehension. And that is all there is to say about that.

My Soapbox
Today we got an ultrasound to find out what we're expecting. So now we know. It's a relief to stop wondering and finally be able to call the baby "he" instead of "it" or whatever. He's on track to join us March 17.

But in between tweets, my day job, volunteering and all the other little things I do... I'm busy growing this baby inside me. Due around St Patrick's Day. Ever seen a Jewish Leprechaun? LOL ;)
My husband just got called by the company he interviewed with last year. They're hiring him full-time with benefits. And it's the perfect job for him. They were looking for a "computer Macguyver" and he's nothing if not the Swiss-army-knife of technogeeks.
