Here is a short summary of what kind of characters you can expect in the
lineup:
Eve ~
according to most, Eve is the entire reason that the human race was banished from the heaven-on-earth that was the Garden of Eden. eve and her irresistable temptation for that forbidden fruit...
Jael ~
drugged the general of the opposing army with dosed goat's milk, then drove a tent peg through his skull with a mallet while he slept. brought the general of the army of her people to come see as she beamed with pride over what she'd done...
Rahab ~
was one of the most beautiful women in the land. also had quite the reputation as a *ahem* skilled prostitute. her clientele included kings, leaders, and high ranking politicians, so she was always very knowledgeable about what was going on in world affairs and politics...
Salome ~
as a reward for her skilled performance at his birthday feast, her drunken stepfather promised to give her whatever she asked for. per her mother's instruction, she asked for the head of John the Baptist on a platter....
Herodias ~
Salome's mother....coached her daughter to bring about the death of a prophet of God because that prophet accused her of incest when she left her first husband to marry his brother. This was even before that brother had even got rid of his own first wife - a princess that he scandalously put out, returning her to her family as "inadequate"..
Potiphar's Wife ~
accustomed to having her way, especially with men, she was so offended when her husband's new servant, Joseph, rejected her advances because he was a man of God, that she devised a plot to have her very own husband send Joseph to prison...
Jezebel ~
a foreign queen who brought pagan religion to the land she married into, she was not a favorite of the priests. especially when she started coercing her husband the king into attending her pagan rituals instead of his traditional religious services. the priests hatched a plan to have her killed. she was pushed out of a window and her body torn apart by a pack of dogs...
The Witch of Endor ~
a necromancer, meaning a diviner who spoke with the dead. highly frowned down upon in christianity, you know...
Delilah ~
a cunning traitoress who conquered Samson's heart, only to turn him over into the hands of his enemies at his weakest moment...
Deborah ~
Deborah heard voices. and Deborah was the single most powerful woman of her time, being a prophetess, judge (ruler), and military commander, all at once. few men even held these 3 titles simultaneously. Deborah ordered bloody slaughter and then sang a song of triumph to God on the battlefield...
Michal</u> ~ a political bride to King David, Michal truly loved him. but his preference of entertaining the company of one (or several) of his other harem wives turned Michal's love for him into bitter hate...
Sapphira ~
her greed knew no ends. she even stole and withheld treasures and monies from the church to keep for herself. according to the Bible, God struck her dead instantaneously for her conniving...
Athaliah ~
after her husband and son were killed, she got it in her head to kill the entire rest of the royal family so that NONE could dispute her as the one and only ever Queen of Judea...
Lot's Wife ~
the Bible uses the story of Lot's wife turning into a pillar of salt at Sodom and Gomorrah as a parable of being punished for one's own burning curiosity and willful disobedience...
The Whore of Babylon ~
straight out of the Book of Revelation, comes the most vile woman found within the pages of the Bible....
Bethsheba ~
after sleeping with her ONCE, King David HAD to have her as his own so badly, that he ordered her husband (a soldier in his army) be sent to the front lines of the battle, and that all his comrades must abandon him there, behind enemy lines and not help him, effectively sealing the
death of Bethsheba's husband...
