A new phase in my life has started. After six years in New England, I'm back in the Mountain West where I belong. My time back east was mostly good, but I knew deep down that it would never be "home." (If you've moved around a lot, you might know what I mean). Now I'm back among mountains and deserts, under enormous blue skies, and I feel rejuvenated. I became a bit rigid out there, and I feel myself now starting to stretch, to regain flexibility. Who will I be, how will I live now?

Again this week I've dreamed of Burning Man. Twice, three times a week for the last several months the dreams have come. The playa is calling me.

I've been telling people, anyone who'll listen, that this year's Burn promises to be epic. I read the signs as best I can and that's what I conclude: it's going to be epic.
