My Testimonials

Two words: Dictionary defiant.
After getting to know Laura one might be tempted to go through one's knowledge of the English language and pull out a bunch of words to describe her.
Amazing. Beautiful. Caring. Delightful. Enigmatic. Fun. Gorgeous.
The problem is that there aren't enough words in the dictionary to fully describe just what an amazing person she is. How deeply, deeply caring she can be. Her wildly creative streak. How amazingly open, honest, and giving of herself she can be. How sexy something as simple as a smile from her is.
If you are fortunate enough to get to know Laura well, the magic of the universe becomes a little more visible to you.

I make up my own lyrics.
They don't have to make sense.

I dance to my own rhythm.
I spin around so hard, I get dizzy.
I like that feeling.

I left the paint-by-numbers behind a long time ago.
Coloring outside the lines is much more fun.

Gestalt Prayer -

"I do my thing and you do your thing. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations and you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, its beautiful. If not, it can't be helped."

TITLE: The Christians and the Pagans

Amber called her uncle, said "We're up here for the holiday
Jane and I were having Solstice, now we need a place to stay"
And her Christ-loving uncle watched his wife hang Mary on a tree
He watched his son hang candy canes all made with red dye number three
He told his niece, "It's Christmas eve, I know our life is not your style"
She said, "Christmas is like Solstice, and we miss ... read more

It was a puzzling thing. The truth knocks on your door and you say, "Go away, I'm looking for the truth," and so it goes away. Puzzling.

Excerpts from "Anatomy of a Secret Life"
Gail Saltz, MD

We all have secrets; we live and breathe them every day. We may not know what one another's secrets are, but we know they're there. They're *always* there, invisible presences in everyone's lives, the subtext beneath the text, the almost uttered but then swallowed sentence, the cryptic, fleeting expresion on someone's face. Humankind's basic needs are food, water, and shelter, but secrets aren't too far down the list of essentials. T... read more

The original 1936 "Mr. Deeds Goes to Town" is such a good movie.

It was given to me some ten years ago but I was never interested in watching it until now.

Excellent character study. The good, the bad, the undefinable. What goes wrong between people and what goes right.

Absolutely the most perfect movie I could watch tonight.

Funny how that happens sometimes.
