</a>
										<div>Date &amp; Time: Friday, March 3, 200 9:00 PM

March 3rd, Planet Nexus in cooperation with Raindance, Get Freaky, DAX, and XEFX Productions, is landing a Hot Air Balloon in the Cell Space in SF and blowing it up for the evening.

The DJ lineup is solid, and the sound system is big

Adam Ohana
Kraddy vs Boreta
Mozaic vs Stridah
Alia vs Donna Matrix
Tracy vs Nikola

I’m sure there will be some coconuts, and Red Bull and maybe even some booze, but who really cares, because the dance floor is going to be rocking so hard you’ll be having too much fun to even think about coconuts!

It is promised to be a grand fiasco and all the upper echelons of the Bay Area Party Society will surely be in attendance. So put your clothes on, and by land or by air or by sea find your way to 2050 Bryant St. in San Francisco, and get ready to party, we’ll be there on the 3rd.

Proceeds from the party are going towards paying expenses for XEFX Productions and Nexus to go to Miami for the Winter Music Conference. The Tesla coil performance is scheduled to electrify the lives of many at ULTRA this year. We see this opportunity having the ability to spiral into others and we want to put on a show worth booking. We hope this will mark the beginning of many professional performance art presentations at other festivals around the world. Please come out and help raise some money for this cause, so we can blow it up bigger and better each time we get the opportunity.

Considering the cooperation of so many production companies, this event may sell out early so come early, $5 dollars before 11:00pm. $15 after. </div>

<div>OK - so I've decided to stay for a while. Well, actually, I'm going back to NY tomorrow to pack up my apartment, have Thanksgiving with the family, and put my dog in the car to drive cross country again. And stick around for a month or so this time. I'll be back in early December.

So - keep me in the loop on Bay Area happenings.

Also - who wants to let me know where all the good dog parks are?

Best Birthday EVER!

<div>OK, so no offense to those of you who've had great birthday parties in your life. But I just experienced the best birthday party ever. Sure, sure. It's been pointed out to me that I tend to speak in the superlative, and the reminders of boys crying about wolves have been given.

However, I will not back down from my assertion that I just had the best birthday party EVER in the history of birthday parties.

For starters - it was on a Brooklyn rooftop. Yummy foods were grilled. We drank blue cosmos. My homegirl made it HAPPEN in a big way. There are not words to convey the extent of my gratitude for that wonderful woman. I think I'm gonna cry.

The sound system - a frankenstein creation of pure bass blasting goodness. Thanks to: Sean for speakers, Max for mixer, JP for turntables, Jesse for monitors and sexy lighting, Maha for table. SEAN KAPLAN is a superhero - he set up and took down that bitch not once, but TWICE as a bit of a hurricane blew through the party.

DJs spinning for my dancing and hooping and fire spinning joy - Justin/D-Juice/Juicetin. You are one sexy man behind the tables - getting it started right and closed up nice and tight. JP!! playing the late set deliciousness and hip-hop yum for me - and being instrumental in the happening overall - if it weren't for you, kid, don't know if I coulda pulled it off! Sunder - you make me swoon - thanks for coming out and showing them all why I talk about subswara as if it's my religion. Chill Whitey - again - awesome. I was told that I had never hooped better than during your set! Thanks for making me look good. I'm so afraid I'm forgetting someone ... if you jumped up on those tables during the evening call me out here and now.

Moving on to amazing gifts, presents and presence ... there's no way I'll get to you all, but believe me, if you were there, it was a blessing. Max &amp; Jesse, the love I feel for you two knows no bounds - thank you for everything - the recording, the lighting, the lending, the loving. Scotty &amp; Wendy - for convincing me that it really was more important to have a bloody mary and a pedicure than to set up. Winkel! For being you and getting me through comedown phase. Dana and Jill and Winkel and whoever else was involved in the genius that was my birthday cake (FIRE FINGER HOOP!!! - that's so next level!) Mayra, Jim, Josh - for trekking three hours from south jersey with delicious morsels! Claire, claire, claire ... there aren't words. Scotty b'way for coming through in the clutch situation. Everyone who came - especially those of you who had other obligations that evening - for braving the subway confusions, the early-evening nasty weather. You all have no idea how much I appreciate you.

OK, I'm actually crying now, so I'm going to hit submit on this bitch .... I guarantee that there'll be follow-up discussions and many more apologies and thank-yous as the evening's memories continue to flood in .....

I'm one happy girl.

THANK YOU</div>

<div>So that's it. When I walk out the door of my office today, I shall not return. I've got my life ahead of me. I'm exhilirated. And a little bit scared, to be honest. Never in my life have I felt like I've had this much freedom. I do not want to waste one precious moment of my life.

Thanks to everyone for encouragement, love, optimism.

Oh, and did I mention it's my birthday this weekend?? Who's celebrating with me?</div>

Sometimes, all you have to do is ask

<div>I couldn't really believe it. I went into the HR rep's office last week, told him my situation and asked for some advice. He said, "Is the contract the only reason you're staying?" I nodded. He said, "Don't let that be a factor. Contracts can be broken." I was still not sure that I understood that completely. I went back yesterday, and he repeated, no less than six times, that if I were to resign, the contract would not be an issue - he would make it go away.

So now, my life is my own again. I will be resigning as soon as I return from vacation. (I know, I know, that's sleazy - but I want to keep my health insurance while travelling!) Every cliche in the book applies to how I'm feeling right now - like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, etc etc etc.

And to think, I could have sat in this cube miserable for another six months waiting for my contract to expire .... wow. I can breathe.

Working for the weekend

<div>I never wanted to become this person - one who doesn't like their job and lives for the weekends - and yet it's exactly who I've become over the last six months. July is especially rough - because the days are long and I look out the window at 6 pm and imagine how great it would be to be hooping in the park/having a cocktail in a garden/walking my dog .... and then I turn around and dive back into my friggin' spreadsheet for another hour or so. I don't want to complain, and I don't want to be negative. Is it really too much to ask to like your job? Anyone have any advice on how to figure out what it is I'm supposed to be doing?

I mean, besides the obvious - which is throw down and DANCE Friday/Saturday/Sunday ..... it's gonna be a good one ..... better get back to my database now so I can get out of here and start living at a decent hour tonight.</div>

<div>My apartment is fixed and cleaned. Jake and I are back home. So I don't really have any reason to complain, right? Then why do I feel so blah? It's probably the job - I don't know how much longer I can remain in limbo wondering wtf I'm supposed to be doing without doing something drastic.</div>

<div>So, my landlord came in with a couple guys on Friday to make the necessary repairs. They promptly let him know that they were not going to work over the holiday weekend. So my apartment is currently in even worse shape than it was on Friday (since they pulled down the rest of the ceiling on Friday and Tuesday.) Luckily, I can stay at a friend's tonight, and my dog is staying with my mom for the rest of the week. If I haven't returned your phone calls or emails, this is the reason. I hope to be back home this weekend, but until then, it's probably best to reach me by cellphone. I could really use a hug.</div>

<div>so jake and I were just abruptly awoken from a dead sleep to the loudest crack thump bang crash I felt like I'd ever heard. My ceiling caved in ... only inches from where we were sleeping. there's a hole in the ceiling about 6x8 feet. It's 4:15 in the morning, and tonight was supposed to be my night of rest. It's time to move. For real, this time. I've been talking about for far too long - and I've put up with plenty, but a near death experience? Jake is hiding and trembling in the bathroom. Now I have to figure out how to deal with this mess, and I'm kind of trembling too ...</div>
