When I think of Finn I usually think "I'm not cool enough to hang out with this guy". Which is kind of funny because when I told him that he said he thinks of himself as the opposite of cool.
This guy knows and does more obscure and interesting things then I can't even imagine. But even more Finn gives the best complements in the world. He told me once he saw me as a "Edwardian dandy".
Finn you're the best.

Finn directed a fabulous indie film, "Powers of Darkness." When I first met Finn (I interviewed to be the soundtrack guy), I found him to be rather erudite and witty. It was like talking with Umberto Eco in his errant youth.

I'll start with the obvious: Finn is graceful and friendly... he's unquenchingly enthralling and warmly brilliant. Finn is a dreamboat of epic dreaminess; unbearably sexy, a mind like a beacon, and my god, could he be more loveable? He is way too cool to be called hip, far too elegant to be called polite... it just isn't possible for me to find the right words to testify properly, because the same thing is happening now that always happens when i think of Finn. My brain gets all slightly fuzzed by a cloud of soothing brightness. Finn is almost too good to be true, but one can't not believe it because he is SO true. Everything about him. (ps- not to mention: shit. Talk about pressure. [But then again there is no pressure when it comes to Finn because he is just Finn, being his brilliant Finn self and he leaves you plenty of room to be you, brilliant in your own way.] Anyway, I was about to write Finn a testimonial when I found that he had written the most beautiful, dead-on testimonial about me. Although I didn't know about the swimming pool part, because what I feel from inside is the pale blue-tinted [aqua, perhaps?] Jell-O. But that's who Finn is. He is capable of seeing things and saying things in the most eloquent and lovely and perfect and gorgeous way.)

TESTIFY!!

Finn is, without a doubt, one of the most ridiculously cool person I've ever met. He's adorably self-deprecating, idiotically well-read, has enough sense to be proud of it, and enough humility to be ashamed of it. Finn has more good ideas on a post-card than I have on an eight by eleven, and he's one of the best people to bounce story ideas off of in the world. I adore him. You should too.
