Who got me sick????
I know I worked my ass off with Phoenix Projekt and then met a whole bunch of people this past weekend.....
So which one of you got me sick?
I've had a stuffy head and runny nose all week and now developing a cough... Working a double shift while you are sick no friggin picnic either...
I missed practice on Wednesday and fortunately Thursdays' practice is just a party....but I HATE being sick!!

Please forgive the length, but this is not a tale to summarize....
Well, the Lantern Festival, brought to you by the fire folks of Phoenix Projekt, has come and gone...And yes I'm still alive.
I'm tired and extremely sore, especially the arches of my feet and my ankles. I drove 25 miles downtown to the venue everyday from Wednesday to Sunday where I was on my feet constantly; helping lift stuff, build, decorate, install lights, etc, getting ready for the big night.

With the big Lantern Festival Show coming up, and my new work schedule, there's not room in the cards for me to go to Renn Fair this year. These were the tickets I earned by doing the Pink Fire gig in Monrovia several weeks ago. But every spare day is for me to get ready for the show, which is May 10th, but then I have another show on May 17th. Though I really want to go.... finances, gas prices, and an immense desire to give a kickass performance in May is telling me to pass this year.

I'm a spunky little firecracker, but can be real shy and sentimental depending on the subject. I love to entertain and make people laugh, yet I'm in a constant struggle to be happiest with my toughest critic, myself. I work hard to help others and am always willing to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on, yet at times I really wish I had someone who could do the same for me. I've tried to learn to accept my flaws and stop trying to be someone I'm not.
I am the Woman Warrior, and my inspiration is that of greatest female warrior, Fa Mu Lan. She was a warrior that rose up against society and oppression to defend her people and her family in a world that viewed her as inferior. I view myself as a warrior, a warrior ready to move with or take on anything that comes my way, but always in a constant search of balance and peace against her toughest opponent, herself.
Personally I feel Life now is a trial run. We are all in a maze trying to find the 'way' when really the best way is to just live and love life. Carpe Diem, life isn't a dress rehearsal. Once you get to the next level, then the fun really starts. Muhahahaha.......
