about me
Bass player, tall guy, systems administrator, music afficionado.
I think about music more than a person should. But I don't care about that, I care about balance and the lack of it in our world. Or at least the appearance of a lack of balance. Eventually, the earth with absorb all the dastardly goo and the people who made it and fold up into a whole new shape. Not cubical or conical; I am sure it will remain a sphere.... Oceans will rise where mountains once loomed, and deserts will become green forests where newly evolved owls will screech and howl in the triple moonlight. Humans may not even resemble their current shape, we may just evolve into seal-like creatures with flippers for hands and feet so we can swim the seven seas with ease. Ahem, yea ok.

Michael,
Benefits from studying and playing music and "How To Develop Your Music Away From Your Instrument" response.

Realizing that we are sick and tired of war, Iraq, and the war in Iraq I thought it would be a great idea to post this top ten list from alternet.org.

1. Myth number one is that the United States "can still win" in Iraq. Of course, the truth of this statement, frequently still made by William Kristol and other Neoconservatives, depends on what "winning" means. But if it means the establishment of a stable, pro-American, anti-Iranian government with an effective and even-handed army and pol... read more

It's been a while...
Yea well no big deal.
Been practicing the interval study but the fives have been throwing me every time. Need to slow down and find the most comfortable fingerings again.
The study is much more fun with the drum loops on Garageband. But I did however have to use the metronome set to 70 bpm for the subdivisions of 4. It still takes about 30 minutes to go through all 12 keys and all intervals and I like that it has become so efficient. After the interval study I have bee... read more

Papalote
( local favorites » restaurants ) "Papalote on Fulton" The burritos are excellent but the wait is to long. Their system is great when they are not busy, but I prefer the El Toro or La Cornetta system whereby I can order directly from the guy/gal that is making my burrito. By the time I pay, its done... read more
