nice words

June 11, 2005
when it dawns on me how long it's been since i first met june, i feel old. it's been a long, long time - i've seen her go through the wringer and come back out on the other side twice as powerful and just as, if not even more, beautiful. i'm proud of her for everything she's accomplished - sanity, motherhood, amazing artistic expression, and so much more. It would be almost an insult to call her a survivor, because she's so much more than that - she's a heroine.
