The 'Slow Blog' Movement

Moving to a new 'hood

   Wed, September 12, 2007 - 8:08 PM
This Saturday I'm moving from Dupont Circle, where I've been living for about 15 months, up to Adams-Morgan. It's probably about a mile away as the crow flies, and a 20-minute walk, but it feels a world away. Very different in character from Dupont. Each has its charms. I'm excited, but moving is awful. It's amazing how much stuff one can collect in a year, without meaning to!

look like a fun, funky neighborhood. yeah, I can appreciate how you feel about moving......it sucks, but it's always a good opportunity for purging.......

Hey Flaneuse, I lived outside of DC for a long time and still go back there regularly. Adams Morgan is a pretty happening place, not to mention home of some killer slices of pizza! :) DC's also nice cause there's so much vegetation and cool parks and interesting places. I remember stumbling into some community garden one time in the middle of Georgetown! Crazy stuff!

Good luck with the move!

your move
a nice neighborhood! my plans call for a '08 move to either Baltimore or DC ... looking forward to it. i am sort of retiring from the urban business and looking into opening up a true European coffee bar.

hope your move went well, and that all else is well. love the Adams-Morgan mural.
