Florencia is a wonderful, misunderstood genius - at once a lover of of humanity, and constantly disappointed by it. It aint easy being Florencia, but she does it so well, she comes off as a natural. She knows more languages than I have toes (well, on one foot). She has been an environmentalist ever since she was old enough to string together the words "turn the light off when you leave the room Daddy" (only in Spanish). She is a talented filmmaker, and has been known to store things on her bed and sleep curled up in one corner so as not to disturb the carefully laid-out piles of papers. She has low self-esteem, and extreme self-confidence. When she was young, she was heavily into Jem and the Holograms - the TV show from the early '80s, and she used to choreograph her friends in little dances (that she videotaped) to the music of the Spice Girls. If you start her into watching an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel, she might just stay up as late as it takes to finish every single episode at her disposal (one memorable time she stayed up for around 26 hours straight just watching Buffy the entire time with naray a break for meals). Her first and second years of college, she stayed up too late every night playing Minesweeper (yet managed to graduate in only 3 years), and had to make up for it by falling asleep as soon as possible in every single movie she saw, and as early at night as she could for the next three years. She loves animals, and still gets upset to see roadkills or trees being cut down. She is a beautiful, wonderful person, and I count myself lucky to be a part of her life. She has changed me in so many positive ways, I can't count them all on the toes of my other foot.

Flo is my south american goddess and I have had the pleasure of being her friend for 6 years. We met in college and I learned she was dating a friend of mine and I advised her to leave him ALONE...heeheee....We can laugh about that for days. We spent many nights and hours just talking, watching movies, laughing and sharing our dirtiest of secrets. I have no doubt in my mind that we'll always be the closest of friends. And I like that she doesn't wear feminine clothes. I wear what's clean and I dig that about Flo. She's grown and changed in the best of ways! To the FEC! :)
