I have always been a fan of Dawns art, she paints, draws, designs jewelry...well really she does a bit of everything. Her costumes are always beautiful too! Recently I bought a frame drum that I knew I wanted to put some sort of design on, so I mentioned it to Dawn and she said she would do it...she didnt realize how ornate it was going to get! The design is inspired by berber designs and the Hamsa in the middle has a old rug design that is special to Duane and I. I love love love the art and feel very special that I have such a one of a kind drum! She called it BARAKA....because of the sound it makes, when you hear it you will be blessed, when you look upon it you will be blessed, when you play it you will be blessed. I feel very BLESSED to be the owner of such fine art that sounds good.
