See the loader tire rim against the tree on the left? It is 1"+ thick steel and weighs about 800 pounds. It will be moved and turned up for use as a fire ring. Holds lots of wood. I have seen a bigger one than this (1200 lbs.) glowing cherry red from the

WTF?

about me
Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; Nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; Unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education alone will not; The world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. -Proverb

My blog problem

I don't think I am.
One of the spices of my life has always been to meet people from different parts of the country and hear their "accents". Or dialects, as it were. People talk differently in different places. I can appreciate that.
I live not far from "Picksburgh", and people there call themselves "yinzers". "Are yinz goin' to the13th st. pub after the Pirate game?" Luckily, I wasn't raised here, and don't completely have that accent, so I don't consider myself a "yinzer".
What I'm wondering is how many other people enjoy the linguistics of geography, and just how many dialects we can identify. I know there are accents in other regions. Not all of them have names.
