i made this survey for a very shy friend of mine. i adore this friend, but he keeps me at arm's length......which drives me crazy......i am a true Aquarian....and we are very curious creatures.......we totally get into something that intrigues us, until we figure it out. i think my friend knows that and just loves to tease me. so i made this survey for him.....to try and get to know him better.
meanwhile, i sent to another friend who asked me to fill it out too. hehe
so here it is.......



1. Fav comic strip? i have always been a huge huge fan of the Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes

2. Fav cartoon? The old school bugs bunny. the first couple of years, all the characters were very silly and crazy and goofy. then chuck jones took over and made them all angry and bitter and violent. =(
plus i love anime. i am a huge japanese anime fan.

3. Fav comic book hero? i have a fav sci-fi author who has written many books. one of his main characters is my all time fav. there was this one time, i was in a comic book store, and i saw a comic book based upon this character. at the time, i was broke and couldnt buy it. i regret that for i have never been able to find it again.

4. what color are your socks? m not wearing any, but most of them are white.

5. Fav shoes? my converse and chacos and hiking boots. =)

6. jeans/cords/khakis/shorts? shorts and khakis. hate tight fitting jeans. cant hike in them. hehe

7. t shirt/button up? babydoll shirts.

8. hat/beenie? neither. my hair keeps me so warm, that i almost never wear hats.

9. sunglasses? cheap ones. i am constantly losing or breaking mine.

10. color of your hair? brunette

11. color of your eyes? deep warm rich brown......hhahahaaa.....wanna see?

15. First book that changed your life? "Life Before Man"
my father gave me that book when i was 8 years old. it was a book about evolution. The second book would be "The Hobbit" that was required reading in 7th grade. it opened my world to sci-fi fantasy. i am a huge sci-fi fantasy fan. the most recent book, would be Master Hsing Yun "Lotus in the Stream" which is about Buddhism in simple terms.

16. First song/band that changed your life? Queen back in the early 70s. it opened me to rock.

17. First movie that changed your life? Star Wars. omfg, i am a huge star wars fan. i have all the dvds. i literally watch at least one of them every week. hahahhaa

18. Which band do you have the most cd's of? Pennywise.

19. Which movie can you watch over and over again? Star Wars, and Riding the Giants which is a surfing movie.

20. What are your favorite authors? Michael Moorcock, Noah Levine who wrote Dharma Punx, Tony Hillerman, and many others on my page.

21. Which book have you read more than once? Many of Michael Moorcocks

22. What cd is in your stereo right now? Dystopia

23. Last cd you bought or made? Dystopia and my new favorite band, Tchkung....their song is on my profile.

26. Last movie you saw in a theater? uhm....dont remember. =( i love going to the movies, but havent for a long time.

27. Last band you saw live? Social D........and i really didnt enjoy it...i left early

28. Broadway plays? not for me.......i prefer the symphony. when i was young, i played the viola. i have a huge passion for classical music. =)

29. Museums? love them!

30. Art Galleries? havent been to one yet, but would love to.

31. Fav restuarant? Araya's vegan thai food. i take allllll my friends there.

32. Fav food? fresh organic fruit...esp mangoes

33. Fav breakfast? organic soy yogurt

34. Lunch? raw almond butter, with sugar free organic fruit spread on spelt bread. man, i eat that like everyday and never get sick of it. hehe

35. Dinner? vegan thai from Araya's

36. Do you cook? yes.....love it.....esp cooking tofu for those who have never had it before.

39. Sweets or salties? neither.....i am a recovering sugar addict.

40. Coffee? oh my yes. fair trade, organic, shade grown, decaf latte with soy milk. yummmmmmy

41. Soda? i am a recovering soda junkie too. i havent had one for 4 years.

42. Fav comfort food? vegan, wheat free pumpkin bread with mini organic chocolate chips in them. there is a natural market nearby that makes this. omg. they are soo good.

43. Do you shop at grocery stores? not by choice. i prefer co-ops. but when that is not possible, i do.

44. Fav place to buy clothes? okay, this is my downfall....i love REI. i hate malls and never go to them. i love REI and thrift stores.

45. FAv music store/website? anywhere that has used cd's.

46. Bookstore? anywhere that has used books. but in a pinch, i do use amazon.com

47. Fav city park? all of them! esp Pt Defiance park here in my city.

48. Eve's favorite park? whoops. this is my friends dog. i forgot to delete this.

49. Do you spoil Eve? whoopsie again. same answer as above

50. Most missed pet? omg.....i miss them all tremendously.
i miss my dog, Max the mostest. i still cry all the time over him. then, i miss Sabbath the mostest. he was my kittycat from the time i was 15, till i was 32. he was my bestest friend i ever ever had. he was so intelligent, so all knowing, very loving. he was always there for me. third, i miss Toby. he was a horse i had for 5 years from the time i was 10 till 15. i got Sabbath as compensation for losing Toby. Then there are my cats that i have had that i have died.

51. Extroverted/Introverted? Extroverted around friends. introverted when not

52. Fav hangout? the Olympic mountains........for it has it all! the Hoh Rainforest, Sol Duc FAlls, Crescent Lake, the ocean is its neighbor. i am madly madly in love with WA and all of its wonders.

53. Best friend? personally, it would be Naomi......but i also have many best friends that are online as well......many friends that i chat with on a daily basis who i love dearly and am so blessed to have crossed paths with. on a personal note, i am an only child, and a single mom. i have never been close to my family. my friends have always been more important to me than my relatives. when i meet someone who i totally make a connection with, i just want to keep them in my life forever, but that is not meant to be.
Folks cross paths for a reason........and sometimes, we are only meant to share the same path for a limited time. i fall in love easily and am madly in love with all my close friends.
i get very upset when life makes them go away for whatever reasons. it has been a hard lesson to learn......to let go....to just accept that some things are meant to be forever...

54. What kind of work do you do? horticulture and landscape are my true calling....but right now, i do real estate appraisals.

55. College grad? 2yr.

56. What do you want to be when you grow up? i never want to grow up. hahahhaha

57. What did you want to be when you were a kid? a veternarian. i have always loved animals.

58. Real life hero? my son. he is so freakin amazing.

59. House or apt? apt at the moment. i so wish i lived in a house with a yard. i desperately need to be able to garden.

61. Do you have a garden? i so wish......i am dying too. it is my passion and my calling. i havent been able to do any landscaping since last year now. =O i am going thru withdrawals

to end suffering

to see old growth forests from around the world. there are trees down in south america that are over 4000 yrs old!!!


65. Fav vacation? every weekend that i get to go camping and hiking

66. Next vacation? camping and hiking......and hopefully vancouver island, bc. the temperate rainforest here continues over to vancouver island. i would love to see it. there are supposed to be some amazing old growth, huge trees there.

67. Weekend warrior? i do the best that i can. i love for the weekends.

68. Do you have a bike? not yet. been trying to budget for one for like a year now.

69. Car? yep. 89 honda prelude. i so wish i had a eurovan, or a subaru loyale, or an old mercedes that was biodiesel

70. Do you like to fly? i love the take offs.

72. Have you traveled to other countries? Where?
nope. i daydream about traveling everyday

73. Fav place you have been to? all of my fav places are here in WA, with San Fransisco being the exception.

74. What do you daydream about the most? traveling, hiking the world.

sometimes. my dreams are totally bizzare like a surrealist painting come to life. very strange.

77. Do you believe in a Higher Power? it is constantly changing as i learn more and more about our universe

78. Do you have a gf? bf? not at the moment. after my fiance died in 96, i was single for over 6 years. i met my current ex and became involved with him for 3 years. i am not single again, and will prolly stay that way for awhile.
i would love to be in a relationship, but i have decided to not seek it out........to let it happen if it is meant to be.

79. Do you have a crush on anyone? omg, many! all the time

80. Messy/neat and tidy? i do have OCD. i am neat and tidy by nature.....but my closet sure gets to be a mess often.....i hate folding clothes....hahhahaa

81. Gear junkie? only when it comes to hiking. having the right shoes, bakcpack, and outerwear is essential

Fav instrument? it would have to be the viola. i played it for many years. my second fav, would have to be the bongos and drums......every time i hear someone playing the bongos or other drums like it.......omfg......i get goosebumps, shivers, my hair stands up, i get butterflies of excitement, and my body involuntarily moves to the rhythm........love it so very much

84. Read music? Write music? i can read music

85. Has any music ever given you goosebumps or shivers or a lump in your throat? every day!!! i am a music freak.....i cannot describe how much i love music

What gives you goosebumps/shivers/lumps in your throat? music, the forest, and mountians......after each winter, when i finally go out to the forest for the first time, i literally am so happy to see it, and am so in love with it, that i get a lump in my throat and often cry at the site of its beauty

88. Most daring thing you have ever done?
those moments, that i let my guard down and reveal personal things to someone else.....when i open up and put my heart on the table

89. Direct Action? i am not able to participate as much as i would like.....i am too protective as a mother.....i never want anything to happen to me that would affect my son.......but i do what i can when i can safely

90. Last protest? president bush came to town. =P

91. Which cause draws you to it the most?
the forests....the trees......and animals

92. Last time you cried? every day......my heart is so big.....i cant contain it

93. Last time you laughed your ass off? i giggle everyday....but i havent laughed nearly enough as of late

94. Next protest? i have decided to start volunteering for Action For Animals more. I will go where they go

95. How far will you go? AS far as i can...safely.....my son comes first, i never want to jeopardize his life nor happiness and security

Regrets? there have been times, when i was lonely, and i would compromise myself and be in company of a peson that i really should have not been.......just so that i could be touched, hugged, kissed and next to a warm body.........the human touch is a total necessity....and i dont mean sex......sex is over rated.....i mean simple human touch........like hugs, holding hands.....stroking the hair......kisses........those things i miss the most.....my ex was terrible at those......luckily i have friends that love to love on me and love to have me love on them......but we are all so busy..........i havent been loved up on for many months now........and some days i miss it so bad....that i compromise myself and later regret it.

97. Love? absolutely. i am madly in love with many things and people

98. Fear? i hate it. i fear our current government. i fear a draft. my son is everything to me. i would die or kill if anything ever happened to him. i fear that this government who is so war happy, will enact a draft and try to take him away

99. Hate? hate is such a strong word....i dont like it......but at the moment......i cannot think of any other word to describe how passionate and upset i am over many issues.
i hate the clearcutting of forests, i hate animal experimentation, i hate slaughter houses, i hate war, i hate bombs, i hate oppresssion, rascism......and so on and so on

101. Virgin? nope. wow, that sure was a personal question!

102. Longest relationship? 6 and half years. my fiance. he died in 96.

103. Marriage? never!!!!! marriage is a form of oppresion

104. Kids? i love my son with my heart and soul. i cant wait for grandkids. =)

105. Annoys you the most? hate. i am very annoyed that i feel hate. it feels so wrong. i am sure that if i keep studying that which i am, i will learn to have acceptance and unconditional love

107. Pet peeves? being a hermit...which i have become to due to my career choices that keep me waaaay tooo busy and home alone

108. What kind of pc do you have? borrowed laptop

109. Are you drawn to water or the land more?
wow, i love both intensely....but i would prefer to be on top of a mountain, than out on the open ocean......i have a deep fear/phobia of deep, open water.

110. Have you ever wanted to live in a different era or period of history? yes......the late sixties

111. Do you read magazines? i read them once in awhile, but never buy them......it is waste of paper......paper comes from trees......i would much rather save the trees

112. Zines? love them....but again.....i would much rather not buy a paper product

113. Do you write one? i so wish i was a writer....i would if i could

114. Best creature comforts? a real bed. i have slept on a lumpy, hard futon for so many years......i finally was given a real mattress this year.....and it feels so good to sleep on a real bed!
