The Sun entering Libra is the point of the Fall Equinox, when the balance of light and dark is exactly equal. After this day, the Sun will move south of the Equator and the days will get progressively shorter in the Northern Hemisphere. With the increased darkness comes an increasing need for social interaction. Libra is the sign of relationships, especially one-on-one intimate relationships. Significant relationships function as a mirror, a way to gain feedback from others, thereby externalizing and clarifying our selves. The need for positive feedback can cause us to go out of our way to please others.
